I picked up this at Ollie's as a Christmas gift for myself... it ended up only being $21.  It's a hefty set, with every strip from the 50's, 60's and 70's. It weighs about 20 pounds. Unfortunately it must remain shrink wrapped until christmas. |

I decided that I’d like to (eventually) read Kirby Thor (Journey into Mystery #101 to Thor #179) from start to finish. I’ve read them all before, but not in order, and a lot of it was reprint volumes I got from the library. Over the years, I’ve accumulated Marvel Masterworks volumes for the earlier stories (up to #130), and two of the necessary epic collections (these are digital volumes from comixology). Today, I went ahead and bought the (digital) volume entitled To Wake the Mangog, reprinting Thor #154 to #174.
I’m kind of excited about it. I’ve read the earlier parts of this a bunch of times. But there’s a bunch of stories after #140 that I’ve only read once.
But it’s gonna be a while before I get to it. I am still reading Detective Comics from 1956 to the present, and I’m only up to 1962. I will never finish that project if I take a break now to read 80 issues of Thor.

I settled all my cases for Court this morning, so I was just bebopping around Amazon this morning. I checked my recommendations (which are usually pretty useless, unlike the olden days) and found a gem of a deal.  Got a brand spanking new copy of Steve Canyon, Vol. 12 covering 1969-70 with free shipping for 14.99. So that was nice for a $50 book. |

I put a $6 bid on JLA #112 a few days ago because Amazo is a favorite and I like those JLA 100-Page Super-Spectaculars. And then I completely forgot about it.
Today I find nobody else bid on it and I now own a copy of JLA #112.
Also included are these reprints: the Seven Soldiers of Victory, Starman and JLA #19.

I needed to treat myself. All 1 dollar from Main Street comics NJ  Since "The Huntress has won!", I think they should have cancelled the Destructor and given The Huntress her own comic. |

Discount bin diving today. 90s is now classic comics. Ouch I wonder if people still feel that way. Most voted for 10 years, but that was 10 years ago, maybe they don't think that comics just published back then, are already classics. In any case, a transparent attempt to bump up that old thread. |
