This one is a two-fer of sorts for my want list, it's one of the handful of early SA Hawkman appearances I needed and an issue of Atom, the other SA DC run I am working on. -M

These round out the ebay order to go with the Atom #7... I', trying to put together a collection of the Zatanna solo back ups from Adventure and Supergirl, and here's one of them... Some Wally Wood goodness on the cheap ($1.39 each, rough shape but still get to read some Wood goodness for a low price) and I am not the biggest Metamorpho fan, but it's hard to pass up Silver Age DC and Ramona Frandon art for 99 cents, and it looks like such a fun story... -M

My lot of undergrounds came in. I was mainly looking for the three on the bottom. Up From the Deep has a color Corben story.

Just arrived today (only took about a month to arrived from the UK!): X-men 1st Class: Tomorrow's Brightest collects the first 8-issue series. I loved the sampling of the First Class stories contained in the Marvel digest from a few years ago, and I'm always on the lookout for inexpensive copies of any of the reprint books. That book was accompanied by these four Panini digests: From left to right, they collect Amazing Spider-man #53-61, ASM #47-52 and Annual #4, Wolverine First Class #1-8 and #9-16 (normally I'm not a fan of solo Wolverine, but like I said, I really like the 1st Class stuff).

I love that Corben book; I have it in my collection when I was going deep on Corben. The Captain Guts comic is early Larry Welz, that has a tie-in to Cherry before Cherry (don't ask). And Robert Williams cover is always good.

Showing some signs of being handled but still in nice shape for a book 58 years old with Feb 1963 on the cover. Acquired for less than a tenner.

Once or twice a year I go crazy and buy "expensive" comics on eBay. Not necessarely comics I really want to read (although I will!), but mostly older comics with covers I love. I really like comics with yellow cover so I looked for one I wanted (Prize Comics #107) and once I found an affordable one, I added a few more comics to the order from the same seller. I really like the aesthetic of ACG comics cover usually so I buy them whenever I find one for a fair price, I'm pretty happy with the Young Heroes comic as I've never even heard about that series before. Now you're talking my language!
I love American Eagle and Justice Traps the Guilty!
Great finds all around!

Picked up a spare #2 in a great deal....these are usually priced quite insanely (anywhere around $50 up) and are harder to find than #1 because the print run was considerably smaller. If I try really hard I might piece together another set.

I mentioned in another thread I went to an antique mall just outside of town today and picked up some comics. Almost everything was in the $1 to $3 range, but a couple were $4 and one (a red dress cover) was $9. So I added three red dress covers to the collection, one was a double dip as it was a Kubert cover Our Army at War issue... one was an Archie and James Bond cover... and the last red dress cover was a Lois Lane cover... with a bonus xylophone (or is it a glockenspiel, I can never tell the difference) I also picked up a handful of DC war books, all Kubert covers... a handful of Bronze Age Ghost Rider issues... and a passel of Batbooks... then a couple other DC books, one of the early I. Vampire issues of House of Mystery and an early Blood Syndicate issue from Milestone (Milestone books have been getting pricey so when I can sill find ones I need under $3 a pop I snap them up) and the last thing I picked up wasn't a comic but is comic adjacent-our own Crimebuster has mentioned on a few occasions that the Trixie Belden books were an influence on the Crimebusters book in general and the character of Trixie in particular, and I had never read a Trixie Belden novel, so when I saw a copy of the first book in the series next to some Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew books at one of the vendors selling books booth, I grabbed it... Nothing spectacularly key, but a decent handful of books. -M

I have that Lois Lane one.... it's really fun! They sure did get creative in that series in general!
