Also for $4 thus SDCC exclusive Green Arrow bust paper weight (which my wife promptly claimed as her own once she saw it in my haul  )  for $6 I got one of the DC Chess collectible mags with hand painted statues featuring Supergirl-  also included with it was a $15 gift card fromthe vendor, which I used after the auction to snag the Hawkman Chess piece as well...  The last item in the auction was an old western pulp (donated by my friend who I bought the Conan 1 from) that I ende d up snagging for a whopping $2  I also bought an Art of Tim Seeley's Hack Slash book for $1 in the auction that I gave to Gary, the studio head of TSS who is a fan of horror comic art, and rebought one of the item's I had donated because it went for far too little, but after the show someone offered me more than I bid for it, and I gave both what I bid plus what he offered to the charity and gave him the Saga promo poster. -M |

Then I hit the quarter bins....  Some Hawkman, Hawkworld and Grell Green Arrows  some Jon Sable Freelance, Sable, and misc books (Destroyer, Ms. Tree, & Epic Tomb of Dracula) and a whole chuck of Ostrander Suicide Squad issues nearly filling in the run for me...  And that was it for the haul.... -M |

The nice part is that Bill-the dealer I bought the Conans and such from today-is now keeping an eye out for a handful of items I am looking for and will drop me a line if he runs across them-so a low-mid grade Conan 24, low grade Showcase 55, a reader copy of Savage Sword of Conan #1 and a copy of the out of print GA Spectre Archives are on his hunt list for me, and if he runs across them I will have dibs on buying them form him...he and his partner travel to 10-15 shows across the country each year and also travel by appointment to buy collections, so they have a constant stream of books flowing in. Shows are great, but the people you meet at the shows that you get to network with are perhaps the best treasures to find at these types of shows.

Picked up a copy of Marvel Milestones: Rawhide Kid & Two-Gun Kid. I almost never buy floppies, but I really want to read Two-Gun Kid # 60 for the Marvel review thread. And those books ain't available in trades.

I bought mine years ago I think I paid 20 bucks for it . A very fine plus copy . I see you are nearly completed you Conan the Barbarian set congrad's . Awesome haul you had . I have always wanted to collect Astonishing tales with Ka-Zar . I think he is a totally under rated character . I collected the 3 part series and volume 1 and 2 also Ka-Zar the Savage series too . I even found issue 12 with the panel only 1600 of those were made in a dollar bin awhile ago . Have a great Columbus day .
