Scored this on ebay yesterday. Was looking for some Vision/Ultron early stuff and this looked super sharp. Shipped and all for under $20 seemed like a nice deal to me. All-time classic issue, with the origin of both Vision and Ultron. A very underrated and undervalued key. Nice pick up. That's what I thought! The cover is gorgeous and I find that is half the reason I pick up the books that I do. I am not a huge Avengers fan (my Avengers collection stands at a few measly issues) but I saw this from a Canadian ebay seller and I had to have it. The price was dynamite and it def is a key ish. I am curious though... was first appearane of Vision always that high? Or have the recent movie successes of Avengers skyrocketed it?

It's always been a key, but the fact that Vision is in Avengers 2 has led to a lot of speculation, jacking the price up higher.

Got my Lonestar order in the mail today. Took some picks but the photoeditor on photobucket is being buggy so I can't fix a couple that are upside down, so I will post them now and fix them later.... So first up, knocked off one of the top 3 on my want list from the top 3 thread.... the all Kubert issue of DC Special then finished off the Kull and the Barbarians run getting issues 2 & 3 finished off 2 more series I only needed 1 issue of each in...Legend of Hawkman 2 (Michael Lark art) and the Zauriel issue ofthe Helmet of Fate series of one-shots... finally picked up the rest of the Guns of the Dragon mini after it piqued my interest in the 12 Days of Christmas event 2012...I had #1 but needed 2-4 around the same time, I had gotten an issue of Reign of the Zodiac, and it intrigued me, but I never got the other 7 until now...Keith Giffen and Colleen Doran not too shabby... Timothy Zahn had written a Star-Lord mini I had been wanting to check out, so I grabbed it before all the GotG speculation drives up even these issues... I still had some credit left, so I picked up a few issues on runs I am working on but wasn't going to complete with this order... Savage Tales 11 and Red Sonja 4 and 5 got all that for trading in the Rise of Apocalypse mini and the Big Time arc of ASM that I had gotten in trade for $5 at Wal-Mart. I had to kick in 42 cents and $4.95 for shipping out of pocket. -M

My dealer got me these at about $2 each averaging VF/VF+. I'd say he got a great deal which he passed on to me at no extra cost. Actually I could take them for free and threaten him bodily harm, but he'd enjoy that. I've been interested in #1 and #3 especially but took all of them...including a bundle of others which I'll add pics of over the weekend. All those books just because he fancies you. SMH, good looking women make men into drooling idiots...

I recently traded in some stuff to them for the first time and will have about $55 worth of credit, so I'm looking forward to cleaning up some holes in my collection. Oddly enough, the majority of my credit from them is coming from the Rise of Apocalypse mini (including two copies of issue #4); looks like a great time to be cashing in on that ridiculous speculation wave, particularly for such a bad comic.

I finally - FINALLY - got Usagi Yojimbo vol. 3 #6 today. This issue was a major thorn in my side, as I have had #7-115 waiting for quite a while to read. But I just could not find #6 anywhere. Well, it's mine now, so I can finally sink my teeth into 100+ issues of good reading. Woot.

As a completionist myself, I've left many a series go unread because I need just one or two more issues to finish it; I'm currently doing that with Iron Man, as I need only #47 to complete the set.

Been a little busy with work lately.
I did have time to pick up Ka-Zar 2 and 3 and Western Gunfighters 2,3 and 4.
Gotta love those late Silver Age Marvel reprint series.

My copy of the fourth Wonder Woman Showcase arrived today, at which time I realized it is written by Kanigher (who wrote the terrible Justice League of America #84). I'm worried it will sour me on Wonder Woman.

I'm worried it will sour me on Wonder Woman. It could possibly sour you on life. Just guessing, I haven't read it myself. Kanigher wrote some excellent war comics, and some good romance comics, but my limited experience with his Wonder Woman stories has been... not good.

Kanigher had zero respect for the readers of Wonder Woman.

Kanigher had zero respect for the readers of Wonder Woman. From the interviews that I've read, Kanigher had zero respect for anyone but Kanigher.
