Picked up some trades via a friend of mine:
Batman '66, Vol. 1 (can't WAIT to jump into this one!) Diana Prince, Wonder Woman, Vol. 2 (more Sekowsky-era goodness) Showcase Presents Super Friends, Vol. 1 (Fradon and Schaffenberger, nuff said)
and the piece de resistance:
The Doctor Fate Archives, Vol. 1-and-only (the complete Golden Age series)
all for a grand total of $32! Can I shop or what?
Cei-U! I summon the score!

Got in a lot of comics I bought from a guy online. After shipping they came to $1.41 each. Very happy with the condition, they are all in the F/VF to VF+ range. I wouldn't have minded if they were low grade, but it's a nice bonus. The Tomahawk issues are particularly nice, and that's not a series I see nice copies of very much. Or, well, any copies of. The lot also included a Weird War Tales #115, which is not shown in the picture.

Hit up two comic stores today. I only planned to go to one, but on the way there I discovered a new store that just opened a couple months ago, so I hit it up. They had a pretty nice selection of Silver Age and Bronze Age stuff. They also had a lot of nice mainstream stuff in their $1 boxes. One of the benefits of hitting up a newly opened store, I guess. I swear, they had the whole run of Hulk #185-325 in the dollar box (except 271), and long runs of all the mainstream Marvel and DC books from the 80's.
Between the two stores, I ended up dropping $50 and came away with 46 books, plus another 6 free comic book day leftovers.
The haul:
Models, Inc. #2 Longshot #1 Shade the Changing Man #2, 3 (Ditko version) Superboy #200 Tomb of Dracula #26, 27 MTiO #27 (Deathlok!) Groo #1 (Epic version) MTU #24, 62 (Brother Voodoo! Ms. Marvel!) Ms. Marvel #1 2001 #1 Fun and Games #3, 4 (pointless, as it turns out, but #4 is worth it for the cover) Pep #242, 338, 339, 351 Archie #259, 271, 274, 297, 298 Life with Archie #77 Archie Giant Series #463 Vietnam Journal #8 Semper Fi #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 The 'Nam #13, 14, 15, 16, 17 Conan the Barbarian #15 Savage Sword of Conan #16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27
Pictures coming shortly!

Wow ! Nice haul.
Yeah, I always think a shop has got something in there besides all the 90's Image stuff.

A shop in Massachusetts, Scott? If so, where about? Both shops are in Framingham, or thereabouts. The shop with the better stuff is Bedrock Comics, on 9 West. The new shop, which also has nice stuff, is called Hall of Heroes (or something like that) and is also on 9 West, about 4 miles further west from Bedrock. Bedrock has bins and bins of stuff at 50 cents and $1 - good stuff - as well as at least one long box of older stuff at $3 each. Hall of Heroes also has a lot of $1 boxes, though the stuff is slightly newer. Deals can be found for sure in both places though.

Some highlights: The Conan #15 was $3, the Longshot #1 was 50 cents and all the others were $1 each. Obviously I am happiest about the Ms. Marvel #1. The owner said it was in the dollar bin because it was beat up, but it's actually quite solid. Probably in the 5.5 range, maybe 6.0 on a good day. For a buck, I'll take it!
