Tom Grummett. One of those awesome Superman "Triangle Era" artists that continually rocked every issue he drew. Moving on to Superboy with Karl Kesel, both runs of that book are worth picking up. I bounded that entire series into hardcovers. Even his work on the Marvel titles, he just puts out amazing work that is pleasing. Personal work like Section Zero is worth reading too.

Roger McKenzie. I always felt his DD run got overshadowed by Frank Miller art
Tom Grummett David Michelinie. Another writer that I felt got overshadowed by the artist. George Perez on Avengers and Todd Mcfarlane on Spiderman

There have been lots of amazing artists already mentioned, but my list of underrated creators is usually heavier on writers. The first two that jump to my mind are always the same - William Messner-Loebs: I've never read anything from him that I thought was bad, it all ranges from 'Ok' ( JLQ backups) to 'Great' ( Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, Wasteland) Steven T. Seagle: He gets praised for his OGN It's a Bird..., but he's done so much more. Sadly, he has a long list of prematurely canceled titles in his wake including Alpha Flight v. 2, Primal Force, The Crusades, House of Secrets, et al. The debacle surrounding his Uncanny X-Men run is already well documented, but it's another example of the poor guy never catching a break...

One of my favorite Vertigo titles.

Journey is so good. It just begs for a high quality collection. Absolutely Even worse, most of it's issue's have never been scanned as well # 2-4,7,15,20-24,27 are all unavailable Very rare for a somewhat modern, somewhat unobscure series

When I saw him at Gem City Comic Con in 2014, he was selling off pages of original art a ridiculously low prices (this was shortly before he wound up homeless). So I m not sure if high quality original are available to scan for use in making collected editions. -M

But scanners would just take the original issues, digitally scan them and put them out for free. Just about every comic from Aardvark-Vannaheim and most of Fantagraphics from that time are available. The 11 missing Journey issues is a rare black hole

The 11 missing Journey issues is a rare black hole If in his sell off of stuff to stave off homelessness he sold the rights to the issue to someone and those rights are tied up somewhere, it may not be possible to legally release scans of the book for sale. I am not sufe if that happened, but I know things were absolutely dire for a time for Bill, so anything is possible. -M

This image is from an Ebay listing, but I don't think my Volume 2 has that same cover....

However, those were already released when the con I mentioned occurred, and I am not sure is the files/galleys for those editions are available to Messner-Loebs or other publishers, they may remain with the publisher of those volumes and be unavailable to use for newer editions. -M
