For some reason, my Avast Antivirus thinks this is a malicious site and blocks me accessing it. I've had to add an exception to allow to get here.
I think it may be something to do with the security certificate, but I'm not sure. I thought you should know in case I'm not the only one it is happening to.

I don't have it here, thank the comics gods, but I have been blocked from a ton of innocuous sites lately (Wikipedia? Really?), and the message tells me that it's something to do with security certificates, so similar I guess. Only on my computer, not on my phone or my IPad, though. Weird.

I hate it when that happens.
There’s a sci-fi magazine called Infinity here in the UK (retro sci-fi). Seems I got similar warnings when I tried to access it, only on my computer. Is there a way around the security certificate bollocks when you know the site is a legitimate one?

Avast lets you create an exception for specific sites in its settings, which is what I've done to get access CCF again.

As a sidenote, Avast is also identifying the proboards ads server as a phishing site.

tartanphantom alerted me to this the other day. This is a pretty common occurrence whenever secure software (usually browsers and anti-malware) goes through a major update. They test it on the big, most commonly used sites, but places like proboards get flagged until enough folks complain and a correction is made. There isn't anything we or proboards can do on our end, but you can create an exception in your software. To be clear, nothing changed on our end; it's the changes that came from the avast upgrade.

AVG had the same issue, not just here on CCF but on all ProBoards. Only lasted about a day or so.

AVG and Avast are just best avoided.

DuckDuckGo blocks the top middle section on the main page. Something to do with Facebook tracking, I think.

DuckDuckGo blocks the top middle section on the main page. Something to do with Facebook tracking, I think. Facebook itself has been screwing up this section since December. I've put in multiple help requests but will likely have to remove the section in the end.
