The series went live today on Netflix, and the early reviews are very positive. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts!

I was definitely hoping for less a little kid show, and I'm not a fan of computer animation, but it's decent for what it is. If it gets some kids to check out Usagi, then great.
The drawn 2d bits are quite good.

With Stranger Things, Kenobi, Ms. Marvel and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds I totally forgot this was a thing. Looks like I have some catching up to do.

I just watched the first episode and it was pretty decent. I think my only real complaint, and it is minor, is that if they were going to do the show about Usagi's decedent I wish they had given him his own unique supporting cast rather than future versions of Gen, Kitsune and Chizu. My favorite parts so far were the dream sequences/flash backs that mimicked Stan's penciling style.
Still and all it's really fun so far and its already taught me something new about Usagi: the pronunciation of tokage. I have always pronounced it as Toke-age not Toe-Ka-Ge.

I love the moon bear as the priest, definitely my favorite character so far.

I'm eagerly waiting for the second season. It was definitely a fun show. Do I wish they had opted for a straight up adaptation of Stan's work? Absolutely, but what they delivered was pretty satisfying once I got beyond that.

So can it be assumed that Season 2 was the last? With the way it ended,it didn't really set up anything for further down the line.

So can it be assumed that Season 2 was the last? With the way it ended,it didn't really set up anything for further down the line. Could mean any number of things. Netflix isn't keeping many series around for multiple seasons these days, so the writers might just be playing it safe. On the other hand, Stan and his family have proven to be shrewd deal-makers in the past few years and might be working towards something bigger -- maybe an actual Usagi series -- and setting it up here ties them down both to Netflix and to the current animation studio. Shopping it out separately gives them far more options. Or there will be a season 3 and this is just how they ended things.
