Diamond has no list for this week, error with their website? Definitely an error on their part...and it happens often which is why I tend to like using the Midtown site; it's well organized and easy to peruse.

Robin and Batman #3Written by Jeff Lemire Art by Dustin Nguyen Summary: Killer Croc strikes at Robin's school to get the dynamic duo to face him on his own terms. Plot: Excuse me, officer? I'd like to report that a very serious crime has just taken place...who ever decided that this should just be a three issue miniseries is guilty of stealing years of fantastic story telling from readers every where!
I'm serious, if given the choice I would gladly read this book for years and years! I haven't been this sad to see a book end in a long time, and while I'm glad Lemire told the story he wanted and I know I'm not entitled to more man would it have been great to get more. Lemire just does an utterly fantastic job at delivering a perfect balance between action beats, emotional scenes and cute human moments that make reading this take on Batman and Robin worth reading again and again. Whether it's the scene where Alfred totally overrides Bruce on sending Dick to school, the fight between Dick and Croc at the circus or just Dick playing D&D with his friends there really is something for everyone to enjoy. I don't double dip as much as I used to, but I'll totally be getting this when it comes out in hard cover.
Art: Dustin Nguyen is seriously a god on this book, every single image he brought to this book is a legitimate piece of art in and of itself. Just pick a panel, any panel and it would look fantastic as a framed piece on your wall that you'd drag people over and talk to them about for hours on end.
Grade:10/10

My pick of the week is Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1
Chip Zdarsky continues hitting it out with Daredevil. This time it's a monthly of Elektra wearing the horns, along with Matt Murdock. If you haven't read Zdarsky's run on DD, please go out and do so. It's really good. Here, Zdarsky continues what he brought to the DD lore with the Woman Without Fear running around. Roberto De LaTorre's artwork shines on the premiere issue. Solid book. I look forward to more.

I never posted!
Kate Bishop: Hawkeye #3 : Not a whole lot happens here... just a whole lot of exposition, really. This series continues to try to hard to be hipster, and fails at being good. I'll stick with it for this story line (Or maybe it's a mini? not sure) but that's probably it.
King Conan #2 : I'm FAR more interested in the flashback sequence than the main story, which was also a problem with the Red Witch story. I really hope the focus is on Conn's quest to find adventure and not whatever's going on with Conan on that stupid island. When Conan starts talking to vultures, you know it's bad news.
Billy the Kit #3 : Having a cool concept with mediocre execution gets you maybe 5 issues... we'll see after that. So far we got an origin story and two issues were the hero fails and has to get saved at the last minute, not exactly primo stuff. Cool art though, and it's hard to resist a Western starring a vampire hunting rabbit.
