Hey folks,

Keeping this community running smoothly requires maintaining an amicable relationship with several partners, most notably Proboards, which hosts our community and maintains our software. Generally, Proboards is an amazing company to work with that seldom ever gives us problems, largely because their vision for a healthy community aligns well with our own. However, they feel strongly that nudity has no place in a family-friendly community and have asked us not to allow such content in discussions being hosted on their servers.

After carefully considering this concern, it is the conclusion of the mod team that the costs outweigh the benefits here. Images featuring nudity have seldom, if ever, made meaningful contributions to our discussions, while they have always had the potential to offend some people and even the potential to be seen by folks who should not be seeing them, even when labeled NSFW and kept behind spoiler tags (it isn't hard for an eight year old to click the "click for spoilers" caption, after all). As such, the moderators have decided the best course of action going forward is to prohibit images showing partial or full nudity, both in the open and behind Spoiler Tags. This includes, but is not limited to, any image in which genitals or female nipples are exposed. Beyond that, we ask that you use your best judgment and make sure that anything you share here is something you wouldn't mind showing to your five year old niece or nephew.

To quote Justice Potter Stewart, "I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description, and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But I know it when I see it."
