Quick heads up... I know a lot of people don't like e-books (I love them) but there's a Humble Bundle of Hard Case Crime that is (mostly) their original books with a few of the HCC comics as well. I went ahead and got it because it was less than 10% of the price of buying the books and I'd only read two or three of them already. |

Hmm, wow. I've read four of those, and have another as-yet unread in hard copy on my shelf, and that still looks *really* tempting.

That is a "killer" deal for sure! I love the Hard Case Crime books and grab any of them on the cheap when I can find them. I've built up quite a shelf full over the last few years and outside of the Ms. Tree stuff, everything else in this bundle I DO NOT have, so once I set down this weekend sending out the monthly payments this will be on the top of my buy list.
Actually prefer paperbacks but hey, digital at a stellar price is totally acceptable to me! A deal is a deal is a STEAL!

Can the books be downloaded to your device, or is it like Amazon Kindle or Comixology, i.e., requires a specific app to access? |

Direct download from Humble Bundle as epubs and (in a few cases) PDFs (mostly the comics). No Mobi’s for Kindle reading. I sideloaded a ePub reader into my Kindle Fire eons ago so I generally don’t notice. |

Some seriously good books. I have a few in paperback but the others I haven't tried.

Just an update: I pulled the trigger on this a few days ago and I'm so glad I did. Even though, as I stated above, I've read and/or have about 5 of these books, it's such a good deal, esp. since several - mainly the various comics offerings, like Ms. Tree, Ryuko and the Big Hoax, but also Collins' Nolan two-fer and the Oates book - were already on my want list (edited to add: and the book by the Struzans).
