Hey all, I just learned of he existence of these unpainted metal minis for the Usagi rpg when I saw someone post about them in a tabletop rpg FB group I am in... and I was not aware of them prior to that. I knew of the game, just not the minis that went with it. Does anyone know what year the were released and who the manufacturer was? And does anyone have a complete list of what figures were released for the line? Not sure if this or the marketplace was the right place to post, but I am not looking to buy or sell, just seeking info, so I posted here. Oh and while I am at it, were there supplements beyond the main book for the tabletop rpg? If so, any one have a list of those? -M

Thanks. The seller in the group only posted this one and Gen. I put a bid on Gen but was outbid in minutes, so these may now be out of my comfortable price range like a lot of Usagi stuff is getting to be. -M

Apparently the guy selling is just selling his extras he bought from a shop that was going out of business, but here is his personal collection of the minis which he painted.... -M

Jei in particular seems really off. I don't know. But even if designed by Stan, the sculpts themselves for the the molds may have been done by someone else. I think these came out in the late 90s and sometimes mini sculpts could be a little rough at times. It looks like the head sculpt for Jei is a little off scale for the rest of the mini itself to me. I am not sure, but these look to be in a little larger scale than a lot of the other minis of the time (these look like they may be 54mm rather than the 28 mm norm for most tabletop rpgs, and the manufacturer may not have been that experienced working in that scale, which could have lead to some of these issues. However, this is all pure speculation on my part based on some of the issues I know of in the industry during that time period. -M

Not sure what the market is on these (I found no listings on ebay either sold or for sale), but in the RPG auction group I sell on, Gen went for $20 and Inazuma $26. I don't think I've ever seen these in the wild, but I will have to keep an eye out for them.

Those look great painted! I agree Jei is a bit off(I don't picture him having a big snout like that).. but the others are quite good... Tomoe is maybe a bit off too. Still, I'd be all over them if I found them somewhere!

Now the guy who auctioned the two previous pieces has Jei and the Scared Peasant up, and I've already been outbid on both by the guy who won the two previous lots.
