Some quick reviews:
Geiger #3. by Geoff Johns & Gary Frank.
Geiger's origins are revealed. Also the King of Las Vegas invades Geiger's compound.
Johns reveals more layers to the story. So far so good. I am enjoying this tragic science fiction post nuclear war story. Geiger's powers are rooted in tragedy. There is one scene that will break your heart...
Plus Frank's art brings this story to life in a great way.

Everything's Archie One Shot. by Fred Van Lente & Dan Parent.
An 80TH Anniversary special. Archie picks up a few extra jobs to make some cash to buy a guitar.... what could go wrong?
An all new tale in the classic Archie style. Perfect summer time read. Like a glass of cold lemonade on a hot summer day it brings a smile to your face.
For anyone that likes classic Archie these 80th anniversary one shots are a great way to "celebrate" Archie and the gang.

Detective Comics #1037. by Mariko Tamaki & Viktor Bogdanovic.
Both Bruce and Batman are implicated in the same crime. Bruce's life gets even more complicated... While I miss Dan Mora's art this month Bogdanovic has a style similar to Greg Capullo.
And TWO back ups! 3 minutes shows the early days of Lucius Fox's involvement in the world of Batman. Then a focus on Gotham Gazettes' Deb Donovan.
Huntress is still intertwined in the Batman story. I liked the Lucius story. The other one was meh.
The Batman family of titles continue to be strong.

Wonder Woman #773. by Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad & Travis Moore.
Diana "fixes" the mess in Asgard. Dr Psycho is involved. And she "moves on" to Olympus next.
I really liked this arc of WW in Asgard. Great story with some great art. I loved her fight with Thor. Interested in what is happening in Olympus in the next arc.

Challenge of the Super Sons #3. by Peter J. Tomasi. Art by Jorge Corona & Max Raynor.
Part one the sons are still in the past fighting Vandal Savage. In part 2 - the present we get the origin of Rora and the sons rush to save Hawkgirl.
I love the Super Sons. I love Tomasi's writing. But this series has been a little under whelming. I'm not sure why.

Iron Man #9. by Christopher Cantwell & CAFU.
No Tony or his allies in this issue. Korvac and his crew take a detour in deep space to search for someone. They find the Original Human Torch Jim Hammond in his new horrible body built by Tony from the last Invaders series.
I love the character of Jim Hammond. Unfortunately modern writers can never just leave him alone. They deactivate him or have lose his powers or destroy him...
I look at Jim as being in the same role at Marvel as Jay Garrick or Alan Scott at DC. An elder statesman type. So the only redeeming part of this issue is he got "restored" back to normal. Hopefully he stays this way for awhile.

I'm still really liking this title but for some reason the father taking a bazooka to the police station Bruce was being held in felt a little too over the top for me.

TMNT #117Story and art by Sophie Campbell Summary: The battle of the bands to decide the fate of Tokka and Rahzar is at hand! Plot/Art: While Sophie Campbell has been doing double duty on story and art for the last seventeen issues I think this is the first one where her artistry really took center stage, it has such a prominence in telling this story that it really is impossible to separate plot from art. Comics are of course a visual medium so the art is always important to the storytelling but here with the way the music performed by Jenni's band was portrayed visually went above and beyond what comic art normally does in that it actually gives a visual depiction of what their music sounds like. Campbell isn't just content with staging Jenni and her mutant pals on stage striking punk rock poses with instruments and a few vague sound effects, instead she draws a collage of images emanating from the instruments in waves...and it's awesome just how well it gives you a feel of what their music sounds like. But the best part? Beebop and Rocksteady concede that the turtle's band rocks harder than they do and they walk away with out a fuss. It could have easily lead to a smash em' up...and that could have been fun...but that Beebop and Rocksteady actually value music and treat a battle of the bands honorably is a legitimate level of growth for them and fits them so well which is why I love this series so much. I've literally grown up with these characters and known them just about all of my life and that there are still new stories to be told and character facets to be explored is just amazing. Grade:10/10

The Good Asian #2 by Pornsak Pichetshote & Alexandre Tefenkgi A little bit of a let down from the first issue. Edison Hark gets drawn further in to an series of apparent tong related murders as he tries to make progress on his missing persons case. A tiny bit more background on the character dribbles out. The seller here is the general atmosphere and the history. Still well worth a read.

Black Hammer Visions #5 by Kelly Thompson & Leonardo Romero
I love the Black Hammer Universe. But this book is so hit and miss. This issue we get Skulldigger mixing it up with a beautiful thief on a mission. This honestly feels like it's a Batman/Catwoman fan-fic that's been vaguely repurposed for this book. Nothing remotely interesting here.

Hopefully he stays this way for awhile. Yuck. I thankfully dropped this steaming turd of a series from my pull list, so this will be my last issue because I refuse to stick my LCS with something they ordered for me months ago. This book showed a lot of promise after the first couple of issues but quickly took a turn into Flaming Dumpsterville. This story with Korvac has dragged on way too long, and it isn't helped by the fact that Tony hasn't appeared in two straight issues now. Never a good sign when the titular character is absent from his own book. I rarely ever drop an ongoing mid-storyline, but this is the second time I've done it with an IM book (the first being the equally dreadful Superior Iron Man, which was more like the Inferior Iron Douche). Love the character, but they have made a ton of missteps with him in the past decade, which is odd considering Tony was one of the Big Three of the MCU.

I think he still is in terms of the non-fandom world... but clearly no one in Marvel's current stable has anything to do with him. Slott's run was decent, but not as good as I hoped... too focused on the Arno thing, really. It wasn't worth a 2 year storyline to tie into 2020.
I agree with your opinion 100%. I dropped it a bit quicker it seems... last issue was my last pre-ordered one, so I won't have to suffer through this one.

Nothing remotely interesting here. Yeah, outside of some really great looking art this one was a little flat for my tastes. Nothing offensively bad or anything, but as you said it was just a bare-bones pastiche of Batman and Catwoman that didn't end up saying anything interesting about them or their relationship and that's kind of my expectation for this series; it's not enough just to be a pastiche it has to do so with purpose...and there just didn't seem to be one here.

Yeah, it's really disappointing that this went off the rails so quickly. Those first few issues really seemed like they were setting up a really fun read...but the follow up was just terrible.
