I realize there may still be a few folks holding out on making their final posts, but I had time tonight, so I ran some numbers. I don't intend to do as comprehensive report as Cei-U! does for the Classic Comics Christmas, but here are some figures that were of interest to me:
53 total comics selected
Publication Years
I'm really surprised to see the 1990s winning out here and the 1950s getting very little attention at all.
1930s 1 1940s 1 1950s 7 1960s 4 1970s 10 1980s 9 1990s 14 2000s 7
Publishers:
Though DC/Vertigo had the most entries (12, to Marvel/Atlas's 10), the largest number of entries were published by small press ventures.
DC 12 Marvel 10 Warren 4 Skywald 1 EC 3 Visigoth Studio 1 Shogakukan 1 Dark Horse 3 Cross Plains 1 Kitchen Sink 1 Plume 1 Derfcity Comics 1 Oni 2 Ajax 1 idw 1 Fawcett 1 Image 1 Lev Gleason 1 Spiderbaby Graffix 1 Archie 1 Fantaco 1 Northstar Press 1 Rebel Studios 1 Arrow Comics 1
Characters
Only one entry made featured a traditional horror character (Batman: Red Rain featured Dracula). However, a whole mess of non-horror characters found their way into our lists.
Sandman 4 Hellboy 2 Wolverine 1 ROM 1 Batman 3 Dracula 1 Son of Satan 1 Swamp Thing 2 Teen Titans 1 Doctor Doom 1 Doctor Strange 2 Crime Buster 1 Archie 1
Additionally, there were three comics that were adaptions of horror stories from other mediums.
I had a whole lot more to this post, but it's somehow all gone now. Yikes. Anyway, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, and Doug Moench were the top writers, and Mike Mignola and Stephen Bissette were the top artists.

And to think, before this event began we were discussing whether or not the 90's were a good decade for horror.

I'll have my #1 entry in a little bit. I'm working on it now. (It will add one more to the 1950s.)

Thanks for doing all of this Shax, it was fun to see everyone's entries. If I had more time to explore some unread stuff in my boxes, I might have had some different choices, but I went with what I knew, so maybe next time my choices will be different -M
