....They're a British snack cake, but you can get them here in Oz sometimes. They have sponge base, orange flavoured jam filling and a chocolate top.... We have them here in the US too, at least where I live. Pim's are my favorites, there's an orange version and also a raspberry version. Love both flavors!

I've never seen those before either... are they British? Because even then I'd think I'd have seen then on some sort of TV show.
edit: ahh, I see. Pims we've definitely had before.

And for your real piece of trivia, Jaffa cakes are responsible Britain having a legal definition of the difference between a cake and a biscuit ('cookie' to you Americans). Because cakes and biscuits attract different amounts of sales tax, an argument developed as to whether Jaffa cakes were cakes or biscuits, and therefore how much tax they attracted. It was eventually determined that the difference is that cakes grow hard as they age, while biscuits grow soft.
Truly a debate for the ages! But seriously that's the most interesting thing I've heard all week, and will definitely find a way to work it into conversation.

I was surprised to see this set of 3 Moon Knight Special Editions listed for $45 on ebay (and $187 on Mile High lol)....I got them for five bucks a few years ago. Good to see those stories from Hulk Magazine getting some love.

I searched for those Pim's , they caught my eye... They're delicious! Not every supermarket here (NYC) carries them, but if you find them they're definitely worth buying. And of course the name brings to mind a certain Marvel character (different spelling)

Vintage RPG prices continue to be insane. After I sold the bulk of my stuff, I looked through some of the stuff I kept and checked the going rate on ebay. One such thing was the D&D 25th Anniversary Silver Anniversary Box set. It was selling frequently in the $300-500 range. I posted my copy on the RPG auctions FB group I am a part of at 1:45 this afternoon. By 3:15 it had sold for $350 at the buy it now/buy out price. Same buyer bought another 25th anniversary module replica edition I posted at the same time for another $35. The third item I posted with a starting bid of $15 is already up to $40. I expected them to sell for decent money, just not this quick and this much.

Unlike ebay, people can still take the buyout price as long as the current bid is still under it. Someone just snagged the third item at it's buyout price of $100, so it was a very successful afternoon of selling stuff. All three went for the buyout price in under 5 hours. -M

What kind of buyer/seller protection do you get on Facebook? Is it just a gentlemen's agreement made on these groups, or do FB actually actively arbitrate the sale?

(not that it stops people from doing so). As a person who works in the Credit Card industry, I can tell you that your best protection is that which you get from Visa/MC/Amex through the normal dispute process... just make sure you're actually making a credit card/debit card purchase... if you use cash app/venmo/visa direct/whatever your favorite money transfer program is, there is NO protections, it's just like if you handed the seller cash and they ran.
