What a rat thing to do , not paying. But it’s like real estate, you will get more than you paid in most cases.

What a rat thing to do , not paying. It's a bit like the shopping cart theory: how you behave when there are no consequences for selfish actions is a good reflection of your inner self.

In these cases, what's a sellers recourse? Does eBay cancel their account? I've never had a sale close for more than $100, and even then I panicked when it took the buyer 3 days to pay...

I got my fees refunded, but there are zero consequences for the buyer unless he does this repeatedly. Even then, Ebay's policy is nebulous as to when they will step in and what the consequences might be.

That and the multiple ridiculous fees that eat into whatever tiny profit I made in the first place...

...how you behave when there are no consequences for selfish actions is a good reflection of your inner self. Myself, I can't stop eating all the Jaffa Cakes in the house. Does this make me a bad person?

Does this make me a bad person? I have no idea what this is, and I rarely ever say that about a snack cake. Terrible name, though. Almost as weird as "Necco Wafers", like Roald Dahl made them up or something.

From a purely anecdotal perspective, I'm beginning to think this new era has passed its watermark. With all covid restrictions being lifted in many states and things returning to normal (whether or not they should), the bubble may be deflating.
I sold off another 1st appearance of Miles Morales for a flat $1k....never thought I'd be making 400 times on a book I paid about $2.50 for and I found 2 extra copies that I stashed away in an Ultimate box.
I made some good cash, but also spent some getting some early 1st print issues of Something Is Killing The Children.

Myself, I can't stop eating all the Jaffa Cakes in the house. Does this make me a bad person? My partner goes through occasional phases when she similarly can't get enough of them. Personally, I don't like them very much - don't like the texture of the jelly and I've never been the biggest fan of the orange/chocolate combo.

Almost as weird as "Necco Wafers", like Roald Dahl made them up or something. They're a British snack cake, but you can get them here in Oz sometimes. They have sponge base, orange flavoured jam filling and a chocolate top. As for the name, they are named after Jaffa oranges.
And for your real piece of trivia, Jaffa cakes are responsible Britain having a legal definition of the difference between a cake and a biscuit ('cookie' to you Americans). Because cakes and biscuits attract different amounts of sales tax, an argument developed as to whether Jaffa cakes were cakes or biscuits, and therefore how much tax they attracted. It was eventually determined that the difference is that cakes grow hard as they age, while biscuits grow soft.

Does this make me a bad person? No, but if you touch my stash of Yorkie raisin & biscuit or my Cadbury Crunchies we will definitely come to blows... on the other hand, eat as many lychee Rowntree Pastilles as you like... yuck!
