Summary: What began as an isolated bombing has grown to a murder of the Ferengi delegation and a Bajoran minister. 
Plot: What's always been great about Star Trek has been the fact that at it's heart it's structured like an anthology series just with a single cast of characters. As they go from planet to planet there is the opening to tell stories from any genre imaginable and I'm loving that the brothers Tipton have embraced that here by giving us a story that brings noir stylings to DS9. What I liked here in the second issue was that by adding in Worf to Odo's investigation we got the added benefit of elements of those 70's black-exploitation crime films with Worf taking on a decidely Shaft type role in using his physical approach to Odo's investigation. You'd think that would clash, but not only did it fit Worf well but it played well against the more cerebral character of Odo. I'm not sure what the new Betazoid investigator will bring to the table in the next issue but so far it's been a great book.
Art: While the moody, atmospheric art is definitely stunning to look at there is a slight draw back to the style where we saw that if you focus too much on creating an ephemeral look that lack of detail that comes with it can create confusion. While that fuzzy, impressionistic look is good in most scenes as it heightens the emotional appeal of the art there was one scene where I was left baffled when Odo said, "you two have been a great help." I had to re-read the scene three times before I figured out that what I had initially thought to be a shadow was actually meant to be another character. Atmosphere is great and in many scenes it's beautifully done...but at the expense of plot? That's a line too far for me.
