According to reports, all DC creators are being asked to wrap up their storylines and plots before the interim weekly project DC will do to cover the gap with the move to Burbank. The last time they asked creators to do that was leading into Flashpoint, which allowed them to change everything....will we see massive changes to the DCU again post-Burbank move? The fill in project is allegedly a Contest of Champions style story featuring characters from across the DC multiverse throwing down for supremacy. What will emerge post-throwdown? Will DC use this to separate the wheat from the chafe and pare out what hasn't worked in the new52? To try to correct the contradictions and inconsistencies in their shared universe? To wipe it all clean again? To reset all their books to #1 again? Who knows, but I don't expect to see things exactly the same as they were, Multiversity and the stopgap project both focusing on the multiverse at the same time, along with 2 weekly books called Future's End World's End dovetailing into it all seems a bit too much for coincidence. StoryAdd to it an absence of much in the way f news or announcements from DC at NYCC regarding their main hero line (most of the announcements were for out of continuity, digital first stuff like the Wonder Woman '77 book), Capullo talking about his tenure on Batman possibly ending when his contract it up, massive turn over in editorial due to the move, WB trimming staff by 10% at all levels except film/tv leaving a lot of positions vacated by the move empty and eliminating them in DC editorial and production, and you just start to get a sense something is brewing at DC. Unfortunately Didio and Harras are still guiding that ship, which makes me less hopeful the changes will be positive, but I can hope Diane Nelson is taking a firmer control over their excesses to keep them in line, since she seems to be the face and point-person of the move and company consolidation. SO I wonder, what will the DC landscape look like this time next year... -M

Very interesting indeed, I don't know if it'll be as big a change as flashpoint but it looks like this could lead to some corrective changes. I guess only time will tell.

I think we're going to see some books launched that take place on other earths such as a Pre-Crisis JSA book set on the original Earth 2.

DC Comics 1935-2015 I just wanted to grab the unreasonable panic end of the discussion.

I hope any changes result in comics I want to read being produced by DC. Currently I find most of the new52 to be slim pickings as I think it was poorly planned and poorly executed, and any current creative team working on a bigger DC property is laboring under the effects of those poor decisions. I stuck with it for 18 months but I couldn't justify spending money on stuff I just plain wasn't enjoying on any level any more, and the few books I did enjoy were constantly derailed by cross-overs with other books in the same line or with company wide events. It seemed DC made a play of get it all or get nothing, and every time a publisher does that, my choice will be nothing. If the end result of this is more books I enjoy and wan to support, great, if not, well I still have 75 years worth of DC material I enjoy reading to pick from and can go on ignoring heir current output for the most part. My hope is a line of books that celebrates and embraces what made DC, DC, not an attempt to sweep it under the carpet as embarrassing so they can be more edgy, grim and gritty and use the trappings of DC without utilizing the core and heart of the characters and ideas that made them iconic for 75 years. I hope it is a realization they made some serious missteps with the reboot and work to create something better, and not a "the sky is falling" scenario or one where they are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

I think some of the higher sellers, such as the Batman, Harley Quinn, Superman, and Justice League lines of books will continue on as they are, but perhaps with new story arcs or directions.
I HOPE that something will be done to improve the Green Lantern line of books.
I imagine that Aquaman will continue, while Aquaman and the Others could be cancelled.
If $ales on Wonder Woman do well when the new creative team takes over, I imagine that they will just continue doing what they are doing.
I think Earth 2 will continue on in one form or another. It is doing too well to be discarded. I would like to see the line expanded and some of the characters given their own monthly series. It seems to me that Dr. Fate is ripe for another try at a monthly series.
Though this is not MY Teen Titans, I think the current team will continue on. Why add a new member just before cancellation?
I think there will continue to be a Batman weekly title and would not be surprised if we see a Superman weekly.
I love Worlds' Finest, but I doubt DC is going to give this title back to Huntress and Power Girl (though I REALLY hope they do!) I suppose that the only way we will see this title continued after issue #33 is if the new Superman (Val Zod) and Batman (Thomas Wayne) of Earth 2 share the title. If DC were to do this, at least Huntress and Power Girl could be in the title sometimes.
I hope DC will continue to explore the Multiverse. I love Power Guy's idea for DC to bring back the pre-Crisis Earth 2.
It seems to me that, whether we love, hate, or could care less about these characters, Cyborg, Shazam, and Boo$ter Gold are ripe for new series. Perhaps Martian Manhunter is too. I think Red Robin could easily be added to that list, but I doubt DC is going to go that direction.
I am excited about the Blood Moon Band-Aid months and look forward to whatever comes after.

Went to pick up the new Batman '66 HC after posting that and they had the first World's Finest TPB for $7.50, so I grabbed it. I had assumed it was a Batman/Superman book.

Cool. I don't know why, but I've really been gravitating towards female characters lately.

Cool. I don't know why, but I've really been gravitating towards female characters lately. Well then, I suggest you try Simone's Batgirl run, Aquaman(which features a very awesome Mera), Earth 2(which features my favorite new character of the year: Aquawoman), and Sensation Comics.

I've never much cared for Simone's stuff, but I'm real excited to give the new direction in Batgirl a shot when it gets a collection.

I might need to check out Batgirl as well, though I have to ask does her costume actually look like this: Because that is one sweet look.
