Okay since this happened back around the Infinite Crisis crossover era around 2006, and since they're going to eventually meet with the new creative team on the ongoing series, what do you think about Wonder Woman eventually coming face-to-face with Maxwell Lord ? I mean after all, this happened in the past:

Not my Wonder Woman, not my Superman, not my Crisis.
But then, I don't like the Designated Hitter, "Everybody Loves Raymond," or DisneyWorld, either.

All I can tell from this sample is that I don't like the artwork much, particularly Wonder Woman, who looks all the more frail and spindly standing next to the heavily-muscled Superman.

That's kind of the thing about the New 52 - you don't know that story fits into the back story until someone uses that angle. Has Maxwell Lord been used since New 52 reboot happened? Did any of that series happen in the current DC Universe continuity?
I do think it is open for a writer to some how do a 'pain in the neck' joke next time there is a scene with those two characters, as a nod.

Oh, looks like I missed the most obvious thing: that it's one of these efforts to make a character look cool by having another character be shocked at their ruthlessness, or what have you. These scenes almost always fall flat, to my way of thmnking, but I suppose I'd have to read in the context of the whole story to say for sure what I thought about this one, something I'm not motivated to do. Doesn't look promising, though.

If I recall correctly, it's been awhile, Superman is shocked by what Lord revealed prior to Wonder Woman killing him. But, yes, while I liked the story that's also maybe my favorite era of DC. It's not something I think needs to be read outside of the context of Infinite Crisis.
