I only recently found out about Johnathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards' Turf from 2010, and I couldn't believe how I missed it as it's mix of noir and sci-fi is amazing. You are not alone sir! Never heard of it but now gonna have to check it out! Noir/Sci-fi with gangsters, vampires and aliens? Right up my darkened alley littered with trash and bums and ladies of the night at 3am after they toss me out of the bar. The writer describes it as an Intelligent Popcorn Movie. Mycomicshop.com has all 5 issues at $2.00 each so a $10 investment for floppies or the hardback collecting it all for $21.95. No brainer for me in getting the single issues with my next order!

I missed the boat on a lot of the Barks Uncle Scrooge books as well as all the Rosa stuff. I wasn't into Disney books at the time. Took me into my mid-30s to really delve and fall head over heels into the books.
Others - Tomb of Dracula - Tarzan - Howard the Duck - Power Man & Iron Fist Granted most of this stuff before I was born but was told to read it in my teens (mid 90s) but didn't until my late 20/early 30s.
- Hellboy. Didn't get into it fully until 2016.

Age of Apocalypse. I was fully out of buying comics by 1995 but I think I would have enjoyed this crossover as it came out.

Earlier on, I just wanted superheroes, not other stupid things; plus, I only had limited funds, so I missed out the first time around on Sounds a lot like me.

I've said before that you and I are pretty similar in tastes / views, etc.

I missed out on Alias when it came out, but I'm sort of glad to have had to rely on the Omnibus that came out later. It's a great run to read in one go.
There are few comics that I regret not getting into when I had the chance... far fewer, anyway, than comics I definitely should have dropped sooner than I finally did!!!

CCF folks all have great taste in classics & new. We all missed out on many things over the years. Just glad to being able to find affordable floppies or reprints in TPB & OMNIBUS. I missed out on New Gods but found it later on in the DC reprints. Missed on Conan from Marvel by BWS other than the Frost Giants daughter (dont even remember how I got it) then found a few Buscema/Chan issues in the issues 90-100 range. Never had any Kull from Marvel. Before my time never could afford back issues Metamorpho or Doom Patrol or Hawkman and had a couple issues each from thrift stores. Missed getting Starlin Captain Marvel or Warlock as well with an issue or two found new and the rest collected later.

V for Vendetta was one that I was late to. It completely passed me by when it first appeared in Warrior magazine in 1882, but then I was only 9 or 10-years-old at the time and a more adult oriented mag like that wasn't really on my radar. But I certainly knew about the DC Comics series in the late 80s, but I decided to pass on it, despite having loved Watchmen and The Killing Joke. Dunno why really, but I just did. I didn't pick up the TPB until about 2005 or thereabouts, probably because the film was coming out. Of course, once I read it I loved it. These days I consider it right up there with Watchmen and From Hell as Alan Moore's very best work.
Neil Gaiman's The Sandman is another one that totally passed me by at the time, back in the 90s. After years of hearing folks here singing its praises and friends of mine urging me to read it, I finally took the plunge last year. I've so far read the first 7 volumes and I am really enjoying it.

Sandman is the rare series that gets better with every arc and ends in an amazing crescendo.

I missed Alan Moore's original Swamp Thing run. Bought it as back issues in the 90s.

I missed Alan Moore's original Swamp Thing run. Bought it as back issues in the 90s. I missed the Wein and Wrightson Swamp Thing, buying it when DC reprinted several issues together in a $1 version.

I missed Alan Moore's original Swamp Thing run. Bought it as back issues in the 90s. I was lucky: It is the tail end of that run that brought me back to comics after the return of Jean Grey caused me to quit them cold turkey. *Edit* That reminds me that during that hiatus in my collecting days, I completely missed The Dark Knight Returns.
