Voting for this category has concluded. The results are as follows: Nominated and Seconded:MWGallaherRob AllenCrimebusterMDGelectricmastro_____________________________________________________________________________________ The original post: (See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for The Uatu Award (Most Knowledgeable Member)1. Please post no more than one nomination for a member who you feel contributed the most knowledgeable posts/content in our sixth year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2019 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2020 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this member. This is the blurb that will end up in the CCF Hall of Fame if they win! 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any member that has previously won this award should not be nominated again unless they have done something especially different in the past year that is worthy of note. It is a given that past winning members continue to enrich the community. Let someone else have a turn 5. Any member receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on May 29th. 6. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on May 23rd. 7. Absolutely NO negative talk about another member, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members and discussions for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

I'll nominate MWGallaher. His insights are always particularly thoughtful and well-expressed. His exposé on Charles Reinsel in the Spectre thread was extraordinary and a testament to his skills as a researcher. There are a few posters here who teach me something with virtually every post and MWG is one of those.

For the second year in a row, I'll nominate Rob Allen, who brings a deep understanding of creators and the industry to the table on a regular basis. His extensive involvement with both the GCD and Roy Thomas only further enrich the wealth of knowledge he brings to this community.

I nominate MDG. He looks at things with the eyes of both an artist and a historian. He knows a lot obviously but he doesn't have a brash in-your-face style, he just comes in and makes observations that are so perfect you think "Yeah, that's what I meant!" A couple of examples: when he characterized Curt Swan's art as "idealized realism." Or "For some reason, Elias Black Cat art of that period connects with me more than any Atom Age hero work (excepting Eisner's postwar Spirit.)" As you can tell, I have jotted down many of his observations. I'm hard to impress, but I always learn something new and valuable from his posts. And he's succinct. His posts don't meander, they are always right on the money without being dry. They're not only informational but they're well-written, a pleasure to read.

I appreciate the nomination, but I think electricmaestro knows more than I do about GA stuff, so I nominate him!

I appreciate the nomination, but I think electricmaestro knows more than I do about GA stuff, so I nominate him! I can SECOND that vote for electricmastro and his GA memories (was he actually there I sometimes wonder ) of things obscure to me and many others!
