From Wonder Woman ’77: A DC Digital Comic Based On The Lynda Carter TV Series Posted on October 12, 2014 by Mark Seifert Share on Tumblr Comments A clever and cool move from DC, breaking out of NYCC: Wonder Woman ’77 will be a DC digital-first series based on the Lynda Carter tv show. Written by Marc Andreyko, covers by Nicola Scott with artists to be announced. On the heels of the SENSATION COMICS FEATURING WONDER WOMAN launch will be WONDER WOMAN ’77, a new series based on the popular 1970s television show starring Lynda Carter. The series will be written by Marc Andreyko with several covers drawn by Nicola Scott. Additional artists for the project will be named in the coming weeks. WONDER WOMAN ’77 will debut digitally in December with six consecutive weekly chapters. These will be collected in two print issues to be released early in 2015. The series will then resume in the spring and appear periodically throughout the year.

An irregular schedule before it even starts. Sweet! I'll probably check this out if/when they get enough for a trade.

This is totally a dream come true for me. I'm so glad they got Nicola Scott involved. Hopefully she draws some interiors as well as covers.

Well worth the wait in print format in 2015. I don't like digital comics ...

Shut the front door!!!! I am in on that for sure!! Couldn't be happier about that. Between this and the news that Hallmark is doing 40th Anniversary Lynda Carter ornament for 2015, I am expecting a stellar year for WW!!!

Count me in for a sale as well. This was near the top of my request list since Batman '66 came out.

...but I'm not a Wonder Woman fan. I don't buy Wonder Woman comics. I have to resist the urge to buy this.
I have to be strong.
...This really looks good, doesn't it?
I am going to have to think long and hard about this. If I were going to buy a Wonder Woman comic, this would be the one.
Is there any hope that there is a Huntress back-up feature in it?

I'd be more excited if someone other than Andreyko were writing this, he has a track record with me of working on books/properties that were can't miss because of my like/love of the character/property and missing so badly I can't bear to see what he did to my favorites in print, so I will likely pass on this unless it gets absolutely stellar reviews form people who have a track record of recommending stuff I actually like. Glad to see the title being done, sad that Andreyko is the one writing it so it's a virtual lock on a no buy from me.

I hope Wonder Girl, Cheetah, Giganta, Queen Bee, Silver Swan, and Angle Man are all included in these pages. I might very well spend some money on this title if they go this route...
...surely THAT surprises you, Dr. Poison! Right?

The 40th Anniversary of Lynda Carter's wonder woman is next year, so this just goes along with all the reasons that next year should be the year of the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman in general.
