I've never developed much of a taste for coffee, which was considered odd when I was in the Navy. A lot guys lived on it. I remember one guy who refused to ever wash his coffee mug, claiming it ruined the flavor. The inside of his cup looked like the inside of a sewer line. One time one of the women in the department couldn't stand it any more and washed it. I honestly thought the guy was going to become violent. Or have a stroke.
In more recent years I've used coffee for very little more than a way to get caffeine. For regular coffee, my preferred was black with two sugars. A year or so back the office I work in got an automatic machine that makes coffee/hot chocolate/tea from little individual packets. Since then I've gotten into the habit of a mocha in the morning with French Vanilla coffee in it. But I don't go for more than one a day, due to watching my sugar intake.
And as far as Bourbon goes, I can't stand it straight. But I use it regularly when brining pork chops. Tasty.

When I was a kid, we didn't have Chockful o' Nuts down in my part of the country, & so the ads never showed up on TV. I was really intrigued with a Wacky Packages sticker for Chockful o' Nuts & Bolts showed up in one of the packs I bought; I hadn't the vaguest idea what they were lampooning.
Come to think of it, I don't believe we had Super Old Weird Ass Coffee, either.

Well I never starting drinking coffee can't stand the smell of it . But starting drinking Hot chocolate this year with a little whip cream in it . Oh, I love hot chocolate! My sister and I usually stop at a gas station on the way home after school and it takes me 5 minutes to decide if I want that coffee or that hot chocolate. Usually on the way home, it's the hot chocolate!

Nice I enjoy Tim Horton's hot chocolate and MacDonald's with the cream instead of milk is pretty good for a buck .

Chocolate syrup goes well with coffee too. I usually have some happy campers when I do something very similar to this.

Being an annoying "health nut" now, I occasionally have to fight the cravings for donuts and coffee cake while drinking coffee.

I used to use chocolate syrup pretty much interchangeably with caramel syrup when making my frappucinos, but I've become downright addicted to the latter over the last, I dunno, well over a year now.

Hot chocolate has always been the only thing I ever drink hot or even warm. And even then not very often -- not that I don't love it, but I guess I'm over-sensitive to the heat or something.

That's definitely one of the problems I have with hot/warm drinks - there's about 2 minutes when they're at the right temperature to drink. Outside that window, I always find they're either burning hot or disgustingly lukewarm.

I remember one guy who refused to ever wash his coffee mug, claiming it ruined the flavor. OMG!!! I know. When you're in something like the military, you meet all kinds of people. And I mean all kinds. It runs the gamut from people you'll admire for the rest of your life, to people you're ashamed to admit belong to the same species. Remember the old saying about not judging a book by its cover? Didn't apply to the guy who never washed his cup. If you were shown pictures of everyone in the department and asked who the nasty cup belonged to, you'd pick him out in a flash. Total slob.
