FYI, I'm trying to make a point of "liking" everyone's entries. If yours didn't get one, it means I screwed up, not that I didn't like it. So far, every choice has been a winner--even the weird shit.
Cei-U! I summon the positive reinforcement!
I am doing the same! Been doing this since I joined when ever voting in several different forum traditions. There is so much to like in these types of conversations and discussions.

For the record, I hereby declare that I like each and every post in this, and probably every CCC event. But I'm pushing the thumbs up on the ones with which I share a particular familiarity and fondness. And even that inconsistently! It's been a great topic, Kurt. In my early days of collecting, as represented in most of my entries this year, the team-up was the most exciting thing I would come across in the spinner racks, so celebrating this aspect of comics is proving to be a great delight.

Yeah, same here: I'm clicking the "Like" button on those entries I remember fondly myself or that look like something I'd especially want to read if I haven't already seen them. But I enjoy reading every single post and seeing why someone holds the given story in high regard.
And again, yes, I didn't feel enthusiastic about the topic at first, a feeling that lasted about 2 minutes as I started to recall more and more old favourites that might qualify. At first I was thinking cross-overs in the sense of company crossovers like JLAvengers or Spider-Man/Superman, which I hardly ever enjoy without serious reservations.

Ordinarily some of the choices for the CCC picks blow my mind, but this year there's just so much potential for it. There are 1000's of team-ups to choose from. I really can't believe that some of the lesser ones are being duplicated. Twice for Barkley and Godzilla ?

C'mon now, you should know Mecha and me would be part of the Zilla/Barkley love!!! Giant Kaiju playing B-Ball always rule!

As Ron Simmons would say, DAMN! I just realised my #2 pick was published in 2014/15. So I've had to exclude it (it was Star Trek/Planet of the Apes). To make matters worse, Tarzan on the Planet of the Apes was also on my list. But then I realised today that that was published in 2016. Strange, eh? I could have sworn they took place over a decade ago. How quickly time flies, eh? But the FUN thing now is to find two worthy substitutes for those two picks. I cannot wait!

I didn't carw for the Trek crossover but the Tarzan one was great, I also loved the PotA/King Kong book as well but that's too new as well.

Man, there is a LOT of stuff coming up this year that I'm highly motivated to track down.
Cei-U! I summon the shopping list!

I'm kinda surprised by, and pleased to see, all the love that Marvel Team-Up #79 featuring Spider-Man and Red Sonja/Mary Jane is getting in this event. I've owned the issue since I was a kid and it's an enjoyable enough adventure, but personally, I never considered it a contender for my 12. I had no idea that it was held in such high regard by some members here.

Ultimately, I decided it was a purer 'team-up' than the story it ended up bumping. I have been pleasantly surprised to see the love my fellow posters have for it.

I had no idea that it was held in such high regard by some members here. I knew I loved the Claremont/Byrne run on Team-Up and was going to include at least one story from it. I also knew I wanted as much variety as possible*, so I was probably only going to pick one. I considered a few, including the Iron Fist story. But this story in particular seemed to be Byrne at the top of his game. And I was in no way surprised to see it's popularity. I expected about 8 of my picks to be unique, but not this one. *yes, I say that with a straight face after posting 6 Spider-Man entries in a row

I'm really loving everyone's selections so far. I put restrictions in just using minis and one-shots and the like. I really wanted to showcase those type of books that I found fun. I knew the selections would be from runs, and I'm picking up some back issues for sure, but I kept most of these to the 80s to the 00s. They're goofy, they're fun and just fascinating reads....
