And besides, have all the members of the League been the star of their own comic book feature? Some maybe, but would there have ever been a Mina Harker comic strip for instance? I'm doubtful.

Okay. Well that doesn’t upset the apple cart.

I'll change my second choice if a mod thinks it is appropriate, but it involves a hero and villain teaming up, a pairing that usually fight each other.
I know the rules are about characters not usually associated with other, I take that to mean heroic duos. The second choice I had in mind features a superhero and his archenemy teaming for a change. I'll put it up when the contest starts, but if it's not appropriate, I'll delete it and insert a back-up choice.

I love the choices people come up with, they are so PERSONAL!
I have to be honest, when a magazine (wrestling, music, film, etc.) does a Top 100 list, well I am bored. I really am. Lots do it. I hate seeing a film magazine I subscribe to do yet another Top 100 Films list. You know the usual choices (Psycho, 2001: A Space Odyssey, etc.) are gonna be on the list. It's predictable. There's no real thought in it. Same when a newspaper does Top 100 Classic Novels to read or something.
Sorry, but yawn, yawn, yawn.
And this is why I love CCF Xmas events (this is my second). It isn't about a bunch of editors putting together the usual, predictable choices. It isn't about the biggest-selling or most popular titles getting included.
It's personal. It's about what has given us the most enjoyment on a personal level. And with lists that are personal, you see comics that you may not have heard of.
If magazines and newspapers do Top 100 lists (or Top 10 lists), I think they should just ask people to name their favourites, not include what is popular/best-selling - and which we've all seen a thousand times before. Quite frankly, if any of the music magazines I buy do one more Top 100 Albums feature, I'm gonna scream...

Totally missed this until tonight and as is the case for a few other people here, this is a tough topic for me, not being a huge team-up fan. But I've thought of 5 or 6 possibilities so I might be able to come up with 12 yet.

You are almost seeing a diary or journal of the members here , complete with their childhood history and more. It's really amazing.

Indeed.
I think it's long past the point for certain magazines (film, wrestling, and music) to think very carefully before they do one of their twice-a-decade "Top 100" lists that will feature the same choices we've seen a million times before.
I'd rather a music, film or wrestling magazine got its editors/freelancers to come up with their personal choices rather than sit there for what must be five minutes and include the usual media-friendly, predictable choices.

I just posted day three's pick. I had the last three days off and was able to post early, but starting tomorrow , I have a run of 6 uninterrupted days that I have to work. I will be posting after 7pm at the earliest.

FYI, I'm trying to make a point of "liking" everyone's entries. If yours didn't get one, it means I screwed up, not that I didn't like it. So far, every choice has been a winner--even the weird shit.
Cei-U! I summon the positive reinforcement!
