I would not say favorite. But I do tend to identify people by their avatars. Well...then there's EdoBosnar who is apparently a Gray. I had my avatar at CBR. We did have an weekly avatar contest there for quite some time. And I think mine came out of that when the subject was something about representing where you live. I liked my spuds so I kept them. I like consistency and yet the spontaneity too, like with Mecha's avatar (especially when they are Diana Rigg gifs). But the avatars I notice the most are a lot of you that have had avatars from CBR. Like you, Rob Allen, Prince Hal, RR, Phil Maurice, etc. I don't remember what my CBR avatar was but I think I've stayed with this one the whole time here on CCF. So yeah I like the avatars that have been around a while, you know like Confessor with his Bucky O'H .... I mean Jaxxon avatar and Mecha with his constantly changing and entertaining gifs. But for some reason because of Prince Hal's avatar sometimes I think I am actually talking to the reincarnated Einstein. Where as I know Confessor isn't a green space bunny ..... or is he?

Good point. Now that I think about it, his is a really good one! My boyfriend might be a little insulted though. Well hey, it depends. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

i don't think it should be called "best" since that seemingly means one is superior to another.I like and enjoy a lot of the Avatars folks here choose for themselves. It shows off our diversity and interests and how unique we all are. Becca's is cute and suits her from what I read in her posts. Mecha's is fun and highlights his various entertainment likings, Prince Hal's both of his (fuzzy duffers) are how I see him in my head, shaxper's Jughead is wonderful and yet again I still "see" Robin when I think of him. Icc's speaks to his Thor comic hunt. Mister Spaceman has a cool retro vibe, Rob Allen looks like Rob, Slam's may be potatoes but I see it as a bag of nuts. Do I really need to address the green rabbit in the room? Crimebuster shows his fave. foxley and his Legion love for Dawnie is well known. Who doesn't instantly recognize The Captain? Who wouldn't hail a taxidriver1980 and know what they were getting into for comics discussions? Tarkintino hits his Star Wars button. bert's firestorm is adorable. badwolf seems suitably wolfie in an anime kind of way. DubipR and the geeky tiki has been around a long time. batsywatsy is batsy personified.Poor ol' EdoBosnar remains avatar and faceless yet known. hondobrode changes it up occasionally yet shows he knows his classic stuff. Who can't tell kirby101 likes the King? MDG our friendly beatnik. How adorable s adamwarlock2099 really? If you call yourself codystarbuck then you need the appropriate avatar! rberman if you read his posts knows lenty of X-ness! Those broke glasses of mrp are a part of who he is. Farrar looks swimmingly classic and stylish. Hoosier X cattiness is well recognized. those backsides of pinkfloyd17 instantly shows he is dating his age. M. W. Gallaher posts as himself. I could go on and on,but you get the general idea. We are all the BEST. Y'know, I'd been contemplating changing my avatar but you've convinced me otherwise, brutalis. Think I'll hang onto the "classic and stylish" image for a while longer

I can't remember what I used before my current one, which came from one of our 12-Days or some similar activity (favourite costumes?). I don't think I ever got around to making one for CBR so it could be that this is the first and only avatar I've ever had. I have been recently thinking of changing it to something a little more personal but haven't put any thought into it yet.

That's the Shadow illo from the chapter on pulps in the Steranko History of Comics, innit? I kinda like it.

I found it somewhere online, where it seemed to be a magazine illustration - possibly from one of the original Shadow pulps? Still trying to remember which contest it was for ... did we ever have one for best pulp hero costumes, perhaps?

I didn't realise I had had it long enough to create that association so that's an incentive to keep it, if any was needed beyond innate laziness. I'll have to start dressing that way to live up to the image!

Maybe I do ... with that hat continually pulled down over my eyes I can't see a thing, in the mirror or anywhere else.
