From SPOILERS: FUTURES END #23 Cover Reveals - Well, Almost Everything by Lucas Siegel, Site EditorDate: 30 September 2014 Time: 05:00 PM ET 856 149Reddit0Submit0 The mystery of Futures End - and what's to come after it, is a little bit clearer after the month of one shots set five years in the future of the DC Comics Universe, but it looks like it will be much clearer in the next week or so. The cover to The New 52- Futures End #23 (the October 8, 2014 issue), as revealed on iTunes in their preorder section, shows us a giant figure with Brainiac's telltale three dots on his forehead, a massive Brother Eye, Mr. Terrific (we're pretty sure) with a Brother Eye sphere, and the heroes of Earth 2 breaking away from Cadmus Island - seemingly with the help of an OMAC. Whew, that's a lot to take in. If we were to speculate, we'd say that some, if not most of this will actually be revealed in Futures End #22, which hits shelves tomorrow. DC has tried to keep things under wraps, while also consistently teasing, when it comes to the big bad of the weekly - and possibly of both this and the new weekly also launching October 8, Earth 2: World's End. We've postulated why it must be Brainiac, and even which Brainiac we think it is, but this is a significant reveal none-the-less. Check out the solicitation text below and keep an Eye out for more Futures End news this week. Well, the fact that it was Brainiac who came out of the bleed and destroyed Stormwatch was revealed a few issues back, so I'm not sure why this is a big reveal.
