5th Wed... not much came out. Marvel Two in One #9.Written by Chip Zdarsky. Art by Ramon K. Perez. As I commented last issue this arc feels like a fill in until the FF are reunited. And they will be next month in FF #2 and MTIO #10. So until then this issue is just a placeholder IMO. I also don't like the sketchy unfinished look of the art. I would prefer an inker to tighten up the pencils. 3/10.

Yeah, it's a definitely a slow week and this issue accented that well as it fit in with all the various re-printings as pretty forgettable which is sad because I used to love this book.

I was just coming here to say that is seems like it looks like a slow release week. At least from the big 2. Especially DC, which is what I mostly read.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Shattered Grid #1 came out from Boom Studios though. Can't wait to read that.

And part of my problem with the art is I have seen Ramon Perez do a much better job than this rushed sloppy style.

Finished reading Shattered Grid #1. I really wraps up the entire saga that Kyle Higgins has worked on the last two years. I thought he did a wonderful a job with the story that was mostly in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and sometimes crossed with Go Go Power Rangers which was written by Ryan Parrott. Both titles really, had me fully invested in Power Rangers for the first time in years. As Kyle put it himself in an interview, his approach to redoing Power Rangers was not to necessarily make it more mature, but to make it based on how he made him feel as a viewer all those years ago. Very well done. It's a shame that he's leaving though, and the main title will be handed off to someone else. That's the business though. His mark on the franchise will definitely be fondly remembered.

Batgirl Annual #2
I just quit getting Batgirl and one of the main reasons I have been kind of disappointed with Batgirl of Burnside is the way they ignored all the things I liked about Gail Simone's Batgirl run.
But I saw Batgirl Annual #2 and flipped through it … and there's James Gordon Jr!
So I had to get it. And it was pretty good. There's a sort of Hannibal Lector vibe to James Jr helping Batgirl on a case, but of course, James Jr has to add his own little twist.
I'm very glad I picked this up.
(I posted the cover but it was HUGE and I deleted until I can find a smaller one.)

Nicely Done, I may add.
