All of these are part of the Wal*Mart Elite Forces line of figures that emulate the GI Joe 3 3/4 inch line of military action heroes. The soldiers and equipment are re-purposed from that line, the monsters and Kong are new and the vehicles are a mishmash of new and re-purposed stuff. Word is that the next expansion will be a Godzilla based set fo rthe Godzilla sequel and all the monsterverse stuff form those monsterverse movies the studio is planning. You can see pics of the line in this thread here on the boardsThe Kong figure is about 15 inches tall the soldiers 3 3/4 inches. -M

Just got the DC Collectibles Flash TV ZOOM figure.. That Blue Lightning that attaches to his chest is really hard to keep on for the most part the lightning throw spear however stays in his hand pretty well once you find the "sweet spot" Here he is facing off against season 2 Flash and finally here's my full Flash cast together I plan on getting the Legends of Tomorrow Firsetorm on Friday and keeping him with the Flash Cast since that's where he made his debut

I only picked up 1 toy at the Jim & Dan Comic & Toy Show this afternoon (though I looked at many, many others), the removable cowl Silver Age Batman action figure done in retro/pseudo-Mego style by Hasbro a bunch of years back... I did stop at a Meijers before the show though, and rounded out the figures I needed for Series 1 of the Justice League Action Blind Bags... here's Series 1... I also saw one fo the 3 pack with the Darkseid build a figure pieces for hte first time and picked it up *there are 3 more sets they didn't have) At the show I got a couple of art pieces though... a Doctor Strange sketch cover by local artist Adam Fields... I also picked up the first issue of his self-titled series Prowl as well, and a print from Archie artist extraordinaire Craig Boldman... featuring a Jughead Joker, a Hot Dog Bat-hound and a certain brunette as Harley! -M

I recently picked up the Mezco One:12 Punisher figure. Wow, it is awesome. The detail is incredible. The slide on his handgun actually moves, and the clip comes out of the bottom! He has a bunch more weapons and stuff not shown in these pictures, and 2 more head sculpts. This is a superb action figure!

As I mentioned in another thread, we got an Amazon gift card as part of our rewards banking, and I used it for a couple of trades and these gems... The Showcase Presents Series 1 Hawkman action figure from DC Direct (adding to my legion of Hawkmen) The Kotobukiya DC Universe Hawkman Classic Costume Super Powers ArtFX Statue a set of four DC shotglasses (couldn't pass up Dr. Fate & Darkseid) and the Dr. Fate mini bust paperweight (about 5 inches tall) based on the Justice League Unlimited character designs... I'll have to wait until I get the new comic room painted and set up to put this stuff out on display, but new stuff just gives me incentive to get the room done faster -M

Went to Wallyworld today because the Wonder Woman movie toys had reportedly hit the shelves and Wal*Mart looks to have an exclusive window where hey have them in stock a few weeks before any other retailer (well that and I needed to get painting supplies for the new comic room-spackle, sandpaper, rollers, painter's tape and that sort of thing). I only planned to get one or two of the pieces, but my wife decided she really liked them too, so we ended up getting all but 1 of the figures in the line (we skipped the Diana as archer fig, and skipped all the role play toys too). So we got... the standard Wonder Woman and the Diana Prince in gown with hidden sword figures... the battle garbed deluxe Wonder Woman figure with shield wielding action... The Queen Hippolyta w/horse figure... the Wonder Woman w/horse figure... and the Diana & Steve Trevor 2 pack... while splurging on toys I got a couple other things too... I finally ran into the 12 inch scale Flash figure from the new Justice LEague Action line... I had seen and passed on Bats, Supes and the Joker, but I wanted ole Flash, and this was the first time I saw him on the shelves. I also finally pulled the trigger on the U-Wing fighter from the Rogue One line... I loved he design of the ship, but I didn't love it enough to drop $50 on it, which was its MSRP when the movie hit. I got the Hot Wheels version for $5 then. A few weeks ago I notice it had dropped in msrp to $35 and I was tempted, but passed again. Today, it's msrp had dropped to $20, and so I finally snagged one. Sometimes patience pays off. (I am hoping the same thing happens with the MArvel LEgends 12 inch scale deluxe figures-they were $49.99 at Wal*Mart when they hit (and stil at that at Meijers and other places), Wal*Mart has dropped them to $36.99 now and I am hopping for a drop to the $20-$25 level. I would definitely get the Cap figure at that price point, not sure on the Iron Man or Spidey ones though. I'll check agian in a couple of weeks. -M

I've been collecting vintage toys since I was 19, so it's exceptionally rare that I 1) want anything anymore and, 2) feel a rush of nostalgia upon acquiring anything either. Well, 15 years ago, before my wife and I had found our careers and times were tough, I was buying and selling like a champ on ebay, pretty much paying for everything I acquired by making profits on other sales. I had an impressive collection, but when my wife and I fell on hard times, I sold all my valuable stuff to make rent and get us some cushioning until we were back on our feet. Over the years, I've managed to reacquire everything I sold during that time with two key exceptions. One of them, the Diaclone Fortress X, would cost around $1,500 to own again in the condition I had it in. That's just never going to happen. The other was the Diaclone colored reissue of the Transformers G1 Ultra Magnus, which was just utterly beautiful to me. I originally bought it for $150, sold it for $150, and it usually sells for about $350 today, 15 years later. I just can't spend that on a toy anymore. I have a life, kids, a house, and responsibilities now. Still, I do ebay searches for it at least once a month, just in case. Finally, just last week, I found an opened, used, and slightly worn one for $179. It came in the mail today: Holy crap, the nostalgia this thing fills me with. A toy acquisition hasn't made me feel this good in years! But that's not even the best part. I noticed, upon taking it out, that the toy was a little more worn than I would expect from a collector (and it's not like kids paid $150 to own this pricey reissue back in the 2000s). I was starting to consider contacting the seller when I found the sticker sheet... That's no reissue! Most (though not all) of the components are the authentic ORIGINAL 1983 Diaclone toy. Holy sh**! I've checked the copyright dates, coloring subtleties, etc. I cannot believe this! If you're not a Transformers collector, I fully realize this means nothing to you. But, as a former die-hard collector of Diaclone (the original Japanese toy series the Transformers were adapted from), I just went from reacquiring one of my favorite long-lost items to acquiring (most of) the original, which was always far out of my price range and clutches!

Beautiful looking piece. I considered getting it many times, especially as the price point is pretty reasonable, but I just don't have the space. I have an original Animated Series Batmobile (the all black one) that's nearly as nice looking, so I can't really justify purchasing another. Plus, then I'd have to start buying the 6" figures to go with it But I'm enjoying your purchase vicariously

That Batmobile looks pretty awesome! I wish more toy companies would make 6" scale vehicles.
