FYI. . looks like Target is having a sale on the Mego they carry: 8" are $9.99 (instead of $12.99) 14" are $14.99 (instead of $19.99) & the two packs are $24.99 (instead of $29.99). I'm guessing they are clearance them out? free shipping on purchases of over #35 too. www.target.com/s?searchTerm=mego&Nao=24They've run that sale several times before. This time it applies to the new Legends line figures they have (Namath, Ali, Marilyn, Farrah, Andre the Giant) as well as past waves. I don't think Target is carrying the other new releases from 2019, just Target exclusives moving forward, so they could be trying to clear out earlier waves too (the problem is they used the same DCPI # for all 3 waves and wouldn't stock waves 2 and 3 in a lot of places until wave 1 sold out, and it didn't, so stock languished in storerooms and was returned to be sold online without ever seeing the floor in some Targets. It looks like the only brick and mortar retailers carrying the whole Mego line in 2019 is specialty shops buying from the wholesaler Mego partnered with, but nothing has been said of any major retail chain picking up the Mego line for 2019. The problem with that for me is that the prices are higher on the specialty market than they were at mass retail, plus you have to add in shipping as not many of the online retailers carrying them offer free shipping, and that prices some of them beyond my interest level. -M

Interview with Marty Abrams in Forbesthe interesting thing is he brings up Planet of the Apes and Lord of the Rings as brands everyone knows along with Star Trek-Mego is doing Trek and has stronly hinted POTA is coming, does that mean LOTR is a possibility down the road and thy have acquired the license? I'm anxious to find out. -M

My enthusiasm for this great line fizzled last Fall when I couldn't find any of the newer releases at brick & mortar Targets (don't like ordering online). If the distribution for these is as poor as it was late last year, I probably won't collect any more.

Looks like Amazon is now carrying Mego wave 4 directly, not through secondary sellers. Prices for the 8 inch figures are on par with what I have seen form other online sellers for this wave, which is slightly more than what Target had them priced at, but Target is not carrying this wave. the 14 inch DC are a priced a little high at least for Aquaman (Superman is more in line with hat I saw elsewhere).
I've also heard rumors Walmart ,com might be carrying them and they might be in store at Walmart some time in May, but nothing confirmed yet.

Work schedule prevented me form getting to Mego Meet this weekend over in Columbus, and I haven't had a chance to watch the livestream of Marty Abram's panel/presentation, but news leaking out incoudes 8 inch DC figures coming in the future and new male and female body designs. Samples were at the show of each but photography was not allowed yet, so no pics.
Oh and for @bert and other KISS collectors, it looks like Ace and Peter figures are coming soon to complete the foursome.

The new bodies will be bandless (i.e. no rubber bands holding them together) and will have 20 points of articulation instead of the current 16.

And the other new line announced, which was at the top of every wish list I made where Mego's return was the topic....Lord of the Rings. Apparently prototypes of Aragorn and Legolas was shown but were awaiting final approval form the licensor so no photos were allowed.

here's a bit of the Mego Corp presentation at Mego Meet. It's an informal Q&A session with MArty and Joel, and it starts a few minutes in after some photo ops with Marty. The highlight is a preview of the Spaceman head for the upcoming figure.

Of the assortment, I will definitely get the 2 LOTR figures (Aragorn & Legolas) and the three horror figs you mentioned. I might get the Trek and 14 inch stuff, not sure yet.

I'm not that big a LOTR fan any more. Though I might be persuaded if they were done right. It's really good they're getting away from bands.
