Incidentally, Trinidad peppers are not to be messed with. My friend Mark sent one to Nikki on a dare and this was the result...

I think I have a medium tolerance for spicy things. I can eat most any Mexican dish without flinching. I like grilled serranos with my veggie skewers. Sometimes I get something too spicy for my taste though. A BBQ joint on Crenshaw was so bad I had to throw like $40 worth of food out. And that was their "medium" sauce. I suspect they got the order wrong and gave me full on hot.
The way she reacted to eating an entire Trinidad pepper is probably how I'd react to half a Habanero. I'd probably call 911 if I had a Trinidad pepper.

I had some hot sauce made with Trinidad scorpions and ghosts a couple years ago. It was fine for awhile, but eventually I started getting real bad spasms (like a really animated gag reflex) anytime I used it so I tossed it.

I started having pizza cravings, so I order a medium pizza and ate all of it in about an hour. When 90% of all the food you eat is healthy, and you break down and do something stupid like this, your body is not pleased afterward...

It's the one food that I think I could eat every day and never get sick of. As it is now, I tend to break down and get it about twice a month in some form -- understand that I probably used to eat it in some form every day or every other day. (Hot Pocket's, etc.) I simply have no impulse control when it's around. This is why I usually only order small pizza's but they had a good deal on mediums so...

I'm not that huge a pizza fan. I'm particular about it. Not a fan of chain pizza. Except Papa Johns, which was just alright. But now that I know what a jerk he is I won't eat that either. So a couple times a year I get some fancy pizza. Fewer than 12 times a year I'm sure. Maybe 6 or 7

Barbecue Steak Stir-Fry
Pre-cooked the Steak into bite-size strips the night before and cook it for 2 minutes per side - set in the refrigerator for safe-keeping. I would add 1 teaspoon of barbecue sauce in it to make it taste better. This step is optional.
In a stir-fry pan put on 2-3 teaspoons of Barbecue Sauce and cook the Steak, Baby Red Potatoes, Corn, Green and Red Peppers, and whatever you like in it for 5-7 minutes under low-medium heat and bring it to a broil for 30 seconds at the end and serve it in a bowl and enjoy it as a bowl of beef stew.
Had that with Sourdough Bread coated with Garlic Butter and Ice Tea for drink.
Going to my girlfriend house for dessert later on ... she is having a dessert party at her house.

Grilled some steaks (well done for the wife and kids, medium rare for myself), with French fries and a tossed salad to go along with it.
Tomorrow night is going to be barbecued pork chops with fresh green beans and yam hash (yes, yams, not sweet potatoes).

I'm type two, but I suspect it's pretty bad. When I quit drugs I very quickly gained 100lbs, I became a basketball. I stayed that way a couple years and got sick and was diagnosed with diabetes. I was told if I lost the weight I would get better. I lost nearly all the weight (I think I hover around 10-15lbs heavier than when I was on drugs) but my insulin dependency has not improved one bit. I'm also on every oral medication that can stack on me. So the doctor still says if I get down to 160 I'll magically not need medication anymore, but that doesn't sound right, when at 178 I needed exactly as much medication as I needed at 280. Of course weight loss itself it a good thing, but I think I killed my pancreas. Also, type 1 diabetes is hereditary in my family, but I was diagnosed at age 28 and after severe weight gain, so I'm diagnosed with type two. When I cut my diet down to 1600 net calories a day I no longer need the insulin, but that's a pretty severe diet that I don't have the willpower to do long term. I can do it for a couple months at a time but then I'll have to get back on the insulin. I *think* type I typically develops at a younger age. And, yeah, type I, one of the symptoms is severe weight LOSS. And extreme thirst for sugary liquids. And eating sugared foods like mad, but experiencing the extreme weight loss. Diabetes sucks. But type II is supposed to be easier to control with diet and exercise, that I know. I take after the women on my dad's side of the family, apparently, and diabetes isn't an issue in his family. Though, he was borderline diabetic (type II) a few years ago due to a pretty big weight gain and sedentary life style. That scared him into gear, and now at 73 years old, he jogs 4.5 miles a day and, when weather permits, he bikes over 11 miles day. Damn. You need a hug. <3 My wife and I are both Type II, but neither of us have it bad enough to need insulin. We try to control our diets, not too much of anything too sweet or too big portions, but other than that we get by with a fairly normal diet. Doctors are happy with the numbers, so we must be doing ok. Also, forgot to mention, we do take pills for it, we just don't need insulin.
