This is from back in August, but it's Uncle Walt discussing what his book Ragnarok is about...
I picked up and read he first volume at the end of last year after having picked up the first 2 issues when they came out, but stopped when I took about a year off from having a pull list. The book is phenomenal. Volume 2 is on my list of things to get soon. It's a great take on traditional Norse myths, but with one what if element (that Walt discusses in the video) as a jumping off point to set up this story/take by Walt.
Anyone here checked out this series?

I've been buying it as it came out. It's really good, and I expect it'll read fantastically in trades.. there were a fair amount of delays. there are 12 issues.. I don't think I got the last one (the cover looks unfamiliar and I don't recall if it was an ending or not).

I believe Walt said something about not releasing #13 until the whole arc was done so it could come out without delays between issues. There have been 2 volumes of it in hardcover, and thr first volume was released in trade. I suspect the second softcover trade will come out just before the third arc is launched.

Once there was so many interruptions decided after the 2nd issue would wait for reading as a whole story. It is uncle Walt doing a different take on mythology so guaranteed I will collect in some form or another! |
