Star Wars #2 (August, 1977) by Howard Chaykin & Steve Leialoha. Star Wars #5 (November, 1977) by Howard Chaykin & Steve Leialoha. Among the few times this adaptation captured the look of the film, and both were great ways to open the issues.

As well as the one hondobrode posted, Syd Shores, known for his great inking, also drew the Red Wolf book from Marvel in the 70s. A talented penciller in his own right.
