The Creeps is now on newsstands but selling out fast. I tried my local B&N and it wasn't there. I'll get a copy online, but can't wait to buy from the stands.

Reading Death Head #2 it seems the various stories are interconnected by family as they are all related. I don't know how this will work out going forward but its still a solid book.

I recently caught up on The Walking Dead and I think the concept of The Whisperers is the scariest thing this book has done since Rick woke up from his coma. There's a really heartbreaking death scene in the recent issue and I'm curious how Rick will handle it moving forward.
A few months ago I started reading another Kirkman title Outcast because I enjoyed the TV series on Cinemax. It's basically his take on demonic possession, it's very disturbing and in some ways is similar to The Exorcist. I'm a few issues behind but the comic has just caught up with the season 1 finale of the show.

is there a modern horror comic which isn't a 'gen y mash up but with less work-ethic' of better horror comics such as Eerie and Creepy?

Tim Seely returns to horror with Vertigo's Imaginary Fiends. I'm a big fan of Revival so I was excited to check this out. The Stephen Molnar artwork is sufficiently creepy and the character designs are interesting. The solicit teases that "the Boogeyman is more than a figment of a child's imagination" and the story is set in a world where children's' imaginary friends are actually inter-dimensional parasites that feed off of people. Some parasites can become so strong that they can effect the real world. There is a special unit of law enforcement that deals with them and they recruit a young woman who spends her life in a mental institution for stabbing her friend because a parasite named Polly Peachpit told her to. Right away I couldn't help but notice to similarities to the real life Slender Man case that involves similar circumstances which I think is obviously intentional.

It seems like a cool premise, so I might look to pick it up.

Richard Corben put out a nice little horror anthology series recently, Shadows on the Grave.
As usual, his artwork is fantastic and the stories for the most part are all pretty entertaining.

I picked Imaginary Fiends up from the LCS last night. It was enjoyable, although as with a lot of Vertigo books, there's that niggling problem I have with the language. I'm not a prude, yet for some reason, I felt a little bit of the swearing was out of place, and they used Game of Thrones favorite word for a female body part once, which is a big turn-off for me (much as I love GoT and the associated books, they use that word way too much for my liking). I'll be picking up the next couple of issues to see where it goes.

Looks good, though I hope it comes out more regularly than Sabrina and Afterlife With Archie.
