In the wake of the Vegas shooting, Marvel cancelled the Punisher panel at NYCC and replaced it with a filmed statement by Stan Lee on tolerance and acceptance. It has also cancelled a promotional event in Paris. There are several articles about it, LA Times, Deadline, and Variety and even Fox News picke dup on the story. And then they announce a partnership with Northrop Grumman...
Seems a little hypocritical to me

And then they announce a partnership with Northrop Grumman... Seems a little hypocritical to me Well Disney is planning their own streaming service (which I am sure they will want access if not exclusivity to the MCU and TV shows, Star Wars and Indiana Jones stuff) so the Netflix Marvel deal may be getting rocky and this cancellation may have something to do with that behind the scenes too. I am sure not wanting to be seen promoting gun violence at this time is a huge part of it, but I wonder if the Marvel Netflix partnership is playing out the string now too and that stepping back from the Punisher may be a first step from stepping away from the partnership in the future. -M

Marvel has since taken down the custom comic produced for Northrop Grumman from their website (it had been available to read for free) and cancelled the panel featuring the comic at NYCC...
