I don't mention Talbot enough. The Adventures of Luther Arkwright and Tales of One Bad Rat are devastatingly good comics and should b on every one's must read list. His work with Gaiman on Sandman is top notch too. He has other good stuff as well. But he has something new coming out this fall, and a trailer for it is up on youtube, brough to my attention via Warren Ellis's weekly newsletter.
It's called Grandville Force Majeure: A Fantasy, and it looks amazing...

I started his Luther Arkwright but never finished it.
I have his Tales of One Bad Rat from years ago but don't think I've ever read it.
He's quite the artist.
