I have most of the Ultimate issues except for the Spidey's. Anxious to eventually get them as I heard Bendis was pretty good on this.
The Ultimate line was the most Marvel I've purchased since 2000 and I liked almost all of them.
Sorry to see the line go but at least some of it got woven into 616 (can I still call it that post-Secret Wars 2016 ?)

In my opinion Spidey is the best and most consistent series from the ultimate line. And yeah Marvel atleast still calls it 616.

None of the re-inventions attracted me too much, from what I read or heard about them online, but there might be some that I don't know about. I think the only full story I read was one drawn by Frank Cho. Nice artwork - he should do more superhero work, I think it's the best fit for his style - but a pretty standard story, from what I remember. I might look at something else one of these days, if I hear about anything that sounds good. It's all part of the regular MU now, is that right? I wonder how that's working.

I read it. No it takes place in 616 so far. All I will say so to not spoil a pretty new issue for people is that no it does not seem to be irrelevant. I just got around to reading it. I was a little confused by the fact that Miles remembers he's from an alternate reality that doesn't exist anymore. For some reason I assumed people wouldn't remember parts of Secret Wars.

I liked ultimates 2 but didn't like Black Widow being a traitor. Hank Pym being a wifebeater was just tacky in my opinion and I would have preferred them just being a happy couple (since most of the other characters were kinda jerks). I did NOT like Magneto being a complete monster. His holocaust survivor backstory works because it makes him more sympathetic. You can understand him even if his actions are monstrous. Also, having mutants be the result of a science experiment was also rather cheap.
I actually read a fan version of the ultimates universe. It kept a lot of stuff but changed things (the main antagonist of Ultimates 2 is different, Crossbones is the one who slaughters hawkeye's family, Magneto is more sympathetic)
