Just wondering if anyone else is buying these. As a long-time Transformers fan, I've held the belief for years now that nothing compares to the original Generation One and Diaclone output, though I spent years buying up the newer toylines before giving up around the time the new movie franchise started. I came back briefly for Generations and Combiner Wars but was ultimately unsatisfied with the quality. But Titans Return is wowing the Hell out of me. I haven't been this excited about a new toy line since Justice League Unlimited over a decade ago. I've spent hundreds on this series and keep buying more. They are so well designed and fun, many surpassing the quality of their G1 counterparts. In fact, I just bought the Toys R Us exclusive Chaos on Velocitron giftset yesterday, have Trypticon arriving in the mail today, and pre-ordered the Japanese God Ginrai set two nights ago. My only real criticisms of the series are two-fold: 1. Their only disappointing designs are also their highest profile ones -- Fortress Maximus and most of the initial Leader Class figures. I'm guessing these were designed first. Because then you get a figure like Kup, or Blur, or Perceptor, where the design is so lovingly and perfectly executed. It's an odd contrast. Later Leader Class figures are amazing though -- Sky Shadow utterly blows my mind, and Six Shot/Quickswitch could have been a Masterpiece release. 2. I wish their heads stuck on a little more snugly and snapped in a little more easily. The original G1 Headmasters were largely disappointments, but man those heads snapped in with ease. Favorites of the series thus far: Sky Shadow Quickswitch Kup Blur Nautica Laser Prime Doublecross Oh God, I need to own: Overlord Trypticon God Ginrai Metalhawk Won't they PLEASE make: Scorponok Starscream and the Seeker jets A 3rd party mod for the recent Generations Metroplex that makes his head into a Titans Return Headmaster. Otherwise, his base mode is perfectly to scale for that series.

TRYPTICON came today! Nicely done, and clearly superior to the G1 original, though I feel they could have done more with the base mode and headmaster function. Definitely better than the Titans Return Fortress Maximus, though probably not as impressive as the Combiner Wars Metroplex.

I saw a couple video reviews for Trypticon it looks pretty cool. FansToys recently came out with their own version of Omega Supreme and it is massive.

My daughters and I just had our third all out battle with these guys, and it was an absolute blast! I can't stop loving this series.
