Is anyone else reading this? I was resistant to picking it up at first but enjoyed it when I finally did. There are about 13 issues out including a Free Comic Book Day issue which I missed. It's pretty humorous and the artwork reminds me a bit of "The Ren & Stimpy Show" and "Invader Zim". I think it might be Skottie Young's first creator owned book. I feel like those who enjoyed shows like "Futurama" and "The Venture Bros." might want to give this a chance. It's about a little girl named Gertrude who spends twenty-seven years trapped in Fairyland searching for the key that will return her home. She eventually goes crazy, turns into a violent psychopath and terrorizes Fairyland. Here's a preview for #1.

Jesse, there is a huge following of young people both boys and girls are getting this and having said that it is a rage and I just don't understand why it is. Even, some people in their mid 30's to 40's are buying into this! Very popular series and I guess the appeal of Ren and Stimpy brought it on. BTW ... it's too weird for me!

I love it. I'm a huge fan of Skottie Young's art. And the storyline is wonderfully subversive.

I would definitely watch this if and when it gets picked up for animated series. I think this book is very comparable to the comic adaptation of Rick and Morty which has also been an excellent series.

I've read some of it, and it's enjoyable enough, but I'm a big fan of Young's art, so that helps.

Haven't gotten it...yet.
Yeah, comparing it in tone to Rick & Morty, Ren & Stimpy and Futurama has me intersted.
Gertrude also resembles a niece of mine

It seems a casual and cyncial "I can do what Vasquez did with Johnny the Homicidal Maniac'.
Which sucked worse than Bechdel and Ware, but landed Vasquez the Invader Zim deal, which frankly was his end-game.
So this series is a derivative $%%#@!! Koons-esque pseudo portrait of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac' being sold for the sole purpose of a cynical animation-deal cash-grab, most likely with Mondo Entertainment.
Though that'd be funny, considering how Mondo $#@$%#!!!'d over the original animators for Happy Tree Friends.

I think I'm too old to be its target audience. It just looks 'obvious' and unfunny to me.
