Story, Art and Cover by Adam Hughes.
The conclusion to Adam Hughes' Betty & Veronica.
The good: Adam really nailed the ending. It all made sense why Betty & Ronnie were fighting. And why everything went out of control. And it concluded in classic Archie fashion. Hughes' art is beautiful. His dialog & grasp of the Archie universe was awesome.
The bad: it took almost a year to get 3 issues? It also looks like this was a mini series. The washed out coloring was a bad idea IMO.
Overall the series was a great read in one sitting (except for the faded colors).
9/10 for #3.
8/10 for the series.

Written by Greg Rucka. Art and Cover by Bilquis Evely. The conclusion of Godwatch. Sort of. Next issue will tie up Rucka's stories. As usual the even # issues of this run are stellar. This issue really nailed Cale as a worthy villain to Diana. Evely's art is great. I look forward to see where she will end up next. I think she would be great on Shazam! 8/10.

Written by Dan Abnett. Art and Cover by Kenneth Rocafort.
The aftermath of the Lazarus Contract & the Fearsome Five conflict. Omen is the star in a strong issue when she confronts Psimon in prison to find out where Karen's stolen memories were sent. Also a lot of interpersonal drama among the team.
I look forward to see where all of it leads in future issues. More hints of Donna Troy's struggles from the revelations in the Annual.
Another great issue by Abnett with beautiful art by Rocafort. I remember when he debuted at Top Cow. I like his unique style.
8/10.

Written by Joshua Williamson. Art and Cover by Carmine Di Giandomenico and Pop Mhan. Man what an issue. The conclusion of a brief Barry/Hal team up. Barry deciding to reveal his ID to Iris... only to find Wally II crippled by Reverse-Flash. Iris kidnapped by Thawne & taken to the 25th century! Williamson has been killing it with the classic Flash Rogues & Carmine turns in his usual amazing artwork. It was nice to see Pop Mhan again doing some of the art! 8/10.

Written by Gerry Conway. Art and Cover by Ryan Stegman. MJ has been "sharing" Peter's powers using Regent tech. However she takes a questionable offer from Liz Allan at Osborn Industries. It is a venom symbiote that MJ uses to have her own powers. And it is changing her personality... A really neat twist on the symbiote saga with MJ & the effect on the Parker family. We need another title set in this universe. The Fantastic Four would be perfect! 9/10.

Titans 12: I enjoyed this issue as Lilith was featured. I liked how the story played out through the psychic interactions between her and Psimon. I loved the interactions with Flash and Donna--and Garth and Lilith! Abnett seems to be intertwining the 80s melodrama with the 70s team dynamic. Loved Rocafort's art. Very detailed and for me, he is a better fit for this title than the regular artist (I like his art too, but something about Rocafort's art really interests me). I thought the scene with Tempest and Lilith are training was nice, especially since the team seems to have different uniforms for training sessions. Looking forward to this new arc and who the traitor is! 9/10

And I really like Rocafort's art style.

I am thinking it will be Donna which will lead into a story that will reveal her latest official origin.

The Sovereigns #2 (Dynamite) I did my full review here, but the gist goes as follows: while this is a team book for the Gold Key heroes (or is it an event book? It could really go either way), there doesn't appear to be any alignment between this title and the solo titles. Approaching it as a fan of Magnus Robot Fighter, there are two completely different characters called "Magnus" in this book and the solo title, and the difference has yet to be acknowledged (heck, one is a woman and the other is not!). The writing feels sloppy and overly enigmatic too, with flat characters and a plot that seems like it will be prove to be overly generic once it's finally revealed (two full issues and a preview #0 issue in, and we still have no idea what's going on). There's nothing overtly bad about this book, but it feels like a generic waste of time already. Read my full review hereGrade: C

8/10. That is an awesome cover. I'm kinda liking the trade dress where DC puts the issue title on the top... what do you guys think?

Wonder Woman #24: Wish the latest run of even numbered issues had been this good! Godwatch is wrapping up and Wonder Woman's supporting cast is still in trouble. Evely seems to have hit her stride with the art a bit late in the book. Her Cheetah is creepy and savage looking. The attack on Veronica really jumped out at me. Evely's art is very detailed and I like the way she draws Veronica's puffy jacket. I was happy to see romance between Wonder Woman and Steve and hope this will be something explored as the book goes on. I was going to drop Wonder Woman after this all finished, but I may stick around for the next creative team to see what happens. 9/10

Dark Days: The Forge #1 -
There are three distinct storylines here, all concerned in one form or fashion with the new underlying mysteries surrounding Nth metal.
The first storyline deals with Carter Hall, who of anyone, should know the most about Nth metal. Yet what he's learned and glimpsed over the centuries of reincarnation is more than enough to inspire dread within him.
The second storyline deals with Batman, who is investigating a mysterious energy signature that's somehow affecting the Earth and traversing the Multiverse. Batman is using some deep undercover assets to do this, culminating in a forbidden device that he has secured in a basement room of the Fortress of Solitude.
The third storyline deals with Hal Jordan. Ganthet of the Guardians is concerned that some hidden cosmic secret is about to be exposed on Earth and he sends Hal to investigate it's source, Wayne Manor. There, Hal encounters Duke Thomas and the duo discover a hidden vault within the Batcave. Searching it reveals some interesting artifacts as well as a guided voice who urges the duo on in their search, only to find the the source of that voice is one very surprising prisoner.
Okay, this book is immersed in Pre-Flashpoint details. Carter Hall, the reincarnated Prince Khufu who remembers most of his previous lives. Batman's resources and allies range from one of the few members left remaining of the JSA to a maverick team that he's classically associated with (with their classic line-up) to a pliable plastic ally. Synder and Tynion use these elements (and more) to build up an intriguing mystery about the nature of the Nth metal and it's link or effect on the Multiverse. In a sense, it's carrying on the rebuilding and legacy aspects that Rebirth started and has maintained.
As for the art, what's to say? Lee, Andy Kubert, Romita Jr. It's fantastic. 'Nuff Said.
Your mileage may vary based on your general feeling towards events such as this. For me, this was a VERY interesting and engaging prologue to this mystery.
9/10
