Fresh from the Doomsday Clock NYCC panel, the first six pages of #1 here. I was super stoked for this already but the panel and preview have upped my excitement. I like the art, and the tone definitely feels like Watchmen...I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. |

So, the time-line here: Johns writes comics that stylistically copy the tone of Alan Moore's stuff, especially the horror elements. Actually that's not even true, especially the EVERYTHING, except for the creative storytelling and plotting and good dialog or stuff like that. Alan Moore specifically disses Geoff Johns work in an interview. Geoff Johns is all "$%^& that guy" and decides to fuck up Watchmen in order to get back at Alan Moore. Am I right here? Ah, comics. You are so consistently hillarious. Don't ever change. |
