I really enjoy the "There. I said it." Opinions on Comic Books thread (started by Icctrombone). It's always interesting to see what other people here think about various comic books and comic book characters, and there have been some great discussions in that thread. Seconded. Cei-U! I summon the man of few words!

I nominate Michael James: Review of Tarzan (DC) by Joe Kubert.Well rounded reviews on a not often reviewed series. Hoping he continues onward into the later Marvel series. Thanks for the kind words. I intend on doing Marvel's Tarzan by Roy Thomas & John Buscema (#1-14) in 2018.

I Think it awesome that you nominated my thread and Cei-U seconded it but it's not eligible within the rules. It was posted on 11-11-2015. Thanks anyway.

A Comic Lover's Memories by Prince Hal. His posts are a glimpse into the past & he describes so well cherished comic book memories of a simpler time. Each time he posts I get a big smile on my face. They just make me happy. Thank you, Michael!

I don't think it matters when a thread was started. We're nominating the threads that we've most enjoyed between April 30th, 2016 and April 30, 2017. My Star Wars reviews thread won the review thread category last year, but that was started December 2014, so before April 2015, which would've been the start date for eligibility for last year's nominations. I'm pretty sure your thread does still qualify.

I'll second this. I'll also nominate Ish Kabbible's "Psst...Got Some Underground Comix Here" thread: classiccomics.org/thread/462/psst-got-underground-comixUnderground Comics are not an area I'm at all knowledgeable about and I don't believe that I even posted in that thread, but the discussion it spawned and the exotic comic covers it showcased were a real education.

It's the same criteria we use when nominating a review thread that wasn't created in the past year, or (for that matter) a member who didn't join in the past year. If it was your favorite THIS YEAR, based upon contributions it offered to the community THIS YEAR, it still qualifies. I appreciate Icctrombone's honesty and humility here all the same, but tough luck, buddy. You're getting nominated and seconded whether you like it or not

I'd like to nominate Prince Hal's Shakespeare and Comics. It turns out that two of Hal's favourite topics aretwo of mine as well. It's fun to see how the works of Shakespeare have fertilized the world of comics.
