When I originally created this site, my plan was to spend a month getting things set up and then go back to being a regular poster again. Four months later, I'm still spending far too much time working on this site and far too little time enjoying/participating in it. As a result, I'm hoping for a few good posters who are looking for a way to play an even greater role in shaping/supporting this awesome community to help share my responsibilities.
I'm looking to fill the following new positions:
CCF Front Page Guru:
Responsibilities: update the front page at least twice a week to feature the best of our classic comics related discussions, both attracting new members who will appreciate what our community is about and keeping current posters who don't check every thread actively engaged.
Requirements: must stay abreast of all active threads in the classic comics section, must have a basic knowledge of html and/or ubb, must have good spelling/grammar, must be able to devote at least 30 minutes, twice a week, to this, must be willing to put up with my suggestions until you get a firm sense of what you're doing.
CCF Social Media Guru:
Responsibilities: update the CCF facebook page at least twice a week to feature the best of our classic comics related discussions, both attracting new members who will appreciate what our community is about and keeping current posters who don't check every thread actively engaged. Also joining a number of other facebook groups devoted to classic comics and sharing CCF facebook posts in them as a means of getting the word out.
Requirements: must have or be willing to create a facebook account, must join a variety of facebook groups devoted to classic comics and add some substance to them so as not to be seen as a spammer/advertiser, must stay abreast of all active threads in the classic comics section of the CCF, must have good spelling/grammar, must be able to devote at least 30 minutes, twice a week, to this, must be willing to put up with my suggestions until you get a firm sense of what you're doing.
All of this could be done by one person (as I'm currently doing) who can help me come up with an awesome custom "Guru" title for him/her, or it can be shared. Maybe there's even someone out there who's up for putting the CCF out there on twitter.
Let me know if you're interested via private message. I'll walk you through the details of how I've done everything thus far, and, once you've gotten the hang of it, you'll then be free to make it your own.
