I can't make them all, but if I could the following are all happening in a 45 minute drive over the next couple of months...
Feb 18 ICE (Independent Creators Expo) Dayton, OH (small press self publishing comic creators, indy filmmakers, self-publishing prose, indie musicians, indy artists all in one place; I've gone before (as both an exhibitor & as a fan) but can't go this year because of my work schedule
Feb 26-Jim & Dan's Comic & Toy Show, Fairborn/Dayton on campus of Wright State, plan on attending this. Local quarterly show organized by one of the dealers I know
March 5 Buckeye Con Columbus Ohio (twice yearly show) I went to one last year and met up with the Captain, great little show but I can't make it this time, but I hope to make the 2nd show this year
March 19 CTS (Columbus Toy Show at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus), one of the best toy hows in the area, runs twice a year, went to the fall show last year and am hoping to make this one as long as the weather holds out for the commute that day
April 1 & 2 Gem City Comic Con Dayton, one of my favorite shows, I have gone every year except least year (I was sick that weekend) since I ended my hiatus from comics in 2012.
also April 1 is The Great Ohio Toy Show, a newly launching toy show in Wilmington (near Dayton), not sure how it will fare opposie Gem City
looking outward, Jim & Dan have another show May 21 and The Ohio Toy & Comic Show is July 23rd also in Fairborn, which I went to last year and had a blast. The Origins Game Fair is also June 14-18 at the Columbus Convention center, a gaming oriented show but still has some comic & toy elements to it. My wife usually likes to go at least one day to that show, and she took the week off as part of her vacation time, so there's a good chance we'll be doing something with it.
If I extended my commute a little farther to include Akron/Toledo etc. there would be even more possibilities.
The only limit is my time and budget, not so much opportunities to go to shows. I can't do them all, so I need to start picking and choosing events.
Of course we are also considering doing Terrificon in August at the Mohegan Sun in CT in conjunction with a trip back east to visit my mom, but that is only in the consideration stage at this point.
