I never get tired of Usagi/Jotoro team-ups, no matter how brief nor silly.

Also reprinted in b/w in Usagi Yojimbo Book 26: Traitors of the Earth (2012) OP has been edited. Thanks! It's a cute 2-page gag. I notice it shares a punch line with an old Calvin and Hobbes strip. "Cut the Plum" appears at the very end of Saga 7. That entire volume (400+ pages) doesn't have a single appearance by Gen, and I think the next continuity Saga volume (not the one with Senso, but the one that would collect issues 139-160 or thereabouts) wouldn't, either.

That was the very strip i thought of while reading this!

Nice catch. Yes, I noticed that. And if we're thinking of #139 up to 160, which he just finished, then yes, no Gen either.
