Published: March 31, 2010 Synopsis: "Since the kidnapping of Lord Masaki's son, clan retainer Inuyoshi has a tarnished reputation. The ransom was paid and the victim returned, but it was Inuyoshi's responsibility to protect Lord Masaki's son. The star of this story is the new character Inuyoshi. Unlike Masaki from "Death of Lord Hikiji" (not to be confused with the completely different Masaki here), Inuyoshi is less of a representation of a samurai ideal and more fully formed. He exudes calm right off the page. In the flashbacks where his death is being demanded, he sits impassively. When he and Usagi find the thieves' den, he just pushes through the bushes and strolls into a fight. And yet he also has moments of anger and cruelty which flick on and off.
On the one hand, I'd like to see more of Inuyoshi. On the other hand, I have such a good sense of him from these 24 pages, that I'd be okay if this was all we got.

I'd love to see more of Inuyoshi, especially as paired with Usagi.
