My wife and I have exchanged gifts on Christmas Eve day since we started dating, so we did our gift exchange this afternoon. So, I thought I'd create a space for people to share what Santa and his elves have brought them. I'm going to limit it to "geek-related" gifts and stuff I talk about here, just because. So this was the geeky haul from my lovely wife...  Anyone who reads my posts in the Sports Bar here knows I am a huge longtime Red Sox fan, and so she got me a funky cool new Red Sox t-shirt...  and everyone here probably knows I am a huge Conan fan, hence the two new Funko Pops for my Conan display..Conan and Sonja...  and I've made no secret Doc Strange is my favorite Marvel character, so she got me the new Doctor Strange prose novel Fate of Dreams by comic writing veteran Devin Grayson...  and lastly, like every year she gets me a funky cool calendar for my studio for the coming year, last year it was Cthulhu, this year it's the women of Marvel...  that's it for the geek Christmas haul so far. We'll probably do a post-Christmas day trip to Columbus or Dayton and she'll take me comic and vintage toy shopping when she has a vacation day and we'll make a day of it, eat good food, buy cool stuff, catch a movie or something and just have a cool day together using the Christmas money my mom sent. -M |

I didn't realize those Conan Pops were out. I've pretty much quit buying Pops because it got out of hand (still get Spidey Pops), but I really want bloody Conan.

nothing yet for me, other than a $50 check from my Mom/Dad (they sent the same amount to my Husband, in a separate card. . LOL). and a Regal Cinema Gift Card from work for $15 but we'll open Chrismukkah gifts in the morning and will update here then. from my Brother/Sis in law: Two bottles of wine, and $60 gift card to a breakfast restaurant here we like. From my Hubby: KISS 10th anniversary T-shirt:   Special Edition KISS rocks Vegas set, with booklet, 2 CDs (including acoustic set), Blu & DVD  Siouxsie box set. . not sure the DVD will play in USA, but the CDs of rarities more than make up for that if the DVD won't play  Kubo (yes!) and the Batman/Superman extended  $50 Amazon Gift Card headphones for my CD player that I can use on my exercise/walks (since my apple iPhone headphones just refuse to stay in my ears) Kathy Griffin's new book!  BEAUTIFUL hardcover, coffee-table book from Dynamite Press.  |

My parents booked VIP tickets for me and the hubby at Duran Duran's shows at Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage, CA on March 17 and 18 in 2017. That's one of my geek presents since I am a Duranie.  |
