Just this past Saturday I took a fall while walking home from the corner store with our soon. Took a bad hit to my right shoulder when I landed on the pavement. My wife took me to an urgent care facility that couldn't really help us. So then my wife took me to an ER close by and they determined after taking X-Rays that I had popped my AC ligament out of my shoulder. I was protruding (not breaking the skin) out of my shoulder. The ER doc could pop it back but as soon as he let go of my hand it popped back out of place. So my wife and I got home about midnight, ate something and tried to sleep as best I could.
So Saturday and Sunday I mostly could only rely on ibuprofen for pain. The ER gave me a sling and sent me home. So I couldn't call an orthopedic doctor until Monday morning. I got in with a doctor on Tuesday to get his opinion. So he gave me a bit better of a sling and a pain medication and I have to stay in it for a month before I go back to see him. He thinks it will correct it as long as I stay in the sling and don't use my arm too much. If it doesn't correct itself in a month he said we would consider some kind of surgery. So I am trying to use it as little as I can. But it's so instinctive to use for some many things, I find more annoying than painful. Thankfully I can drive with my left hand so I am back at work today. I'm limited to just office work and no manual labor.

Aw, geez, adamwarlock2099, that sounds awful. Best wishes for a full recovery, i.e., one that does not involve surgery. Keep taking it easy.

Seven straight days now of buildings having to be evacuated because of bomb threats in the city I live in because of fear mongering untrue statements made by public figures about a segment of our population. Schools closed and now having to be swept every day by state police before kids or employees are let into the building, businesses and medical facilities forced to close for extended periods while they are evacuated as a precaution. This skirts our ban on politics so I am not going to go into specifics or name names, but this is the reality I am living in currently, essentially living under siege by what amounts to domestic terrorists. If I seem distracted or cranky, or unconcerned about comic matters, this is a large reason why. -M I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. That people threaten, let alone carry out, violent crimes against literal children at scale is a heinous evil that is a blight upon our nation. That public figures can lie and incite this sort of thing without repercussion is equally heinous and enraging. That's about as near this topic as I am willing to go here without getting myself banned. Suffice to say, I hope this calms down soon, and that it's all hot air. I'm so sorry this is happening at all. EDIT: And I wish a speedy recovery to adamwarlock2099!

Thank you all. Even in the few days it's been since it has happened I am getting more accustomed to doing things differently. And if I rest my arm on my desk I can at least type and do my work without too much issue. The pain is also already not as bad as it was. I just gotta listen to my wife and not be stubborn and try to do everything myself. But she is quite adamant about me asking for help. And not very forgiving when she sees me trying to do something I should of asked for help with.

So I bought an old Fisher Price Tow Truck earlier (always loved the look of older Fisher Price sets. Just a nice level of elgant simplicity), well I turned it over to get a date on it and I was met with an interesting fact; Quaker Oats used to own Fisher Price, something I never knew

Look at this: Putting aside the limited range, and the cost (almost akin to a second-hand car), the seating on that in relation to the handlebars doesn’t look comfortable for anyone other than Reed Richards. But I might be wrong about that, it’s just the way it looks. Do we have any motorcyclists on this forum? (I know that’s technically a scooter in the ad)

I didn't realize it takes so long to charge one of these EV.

I didn't realize it takes so long to charge one of these EV. There are rapid chargers for any electrical item or vehicle, although I don’t really like the idea. One shop told me I could get a rapid charger for my mobile phone, but I wonder how rapid charging might make a battery deteriorate quicker.
