Anyone else been having really bad lag on the site the last couple days? It seems to be only here (not my computer)... am I getting bad pop ups, or is there some sort of issue?

Haven't experienced anything myself, and nothing is showing up on the proboards support site.
Might be malware. Also, Java just did a new update that might be screwing with your browser.

I've had a few hiccups where the forum stopped loading and it showed me a picture of a blue bear growling at me to tell me something had happened to proboards but refreshing always fixes it.

I've had a few hiccups where the forum stopped loading and it showed me a picture of a blue bear growling at me to tell me something had happened to proboards but refreshing always fixes it. It was a hairy bear...it was a scary bear....so I described it with expletives! That's happened a few times for me with several different Probaords forums I have frequented, but it's been a week since I had anything like that here. -M |

They have two versions of that error message. One indicates a simple server error and prompts you to tell them if it continues. The other informs you that they're aware of the problem and are working on it. I haven't seen either in a while. However, ever since java did its update, I've had shockwave crashing on me a whole lot. That sometimes causes a page to freeze, though the problem isn't specific to this site. |
