Say, I want to respond to a specific comment in a long post. On other boards, I could just quote and then delete what I didn't want and everything was fine. However, when I tried removing parts of a quote the quote ended up posting as completely blank. It still had the user's avatar and the little quote bubble, but what I was responding to wasn't there.

It really is overly cumbersome. You're not wrong. This version of UBB is not as userfriendly as CBR's was. It's pretty much the only aspect of CBR's software that I miss. On the other hand, no 1000 word limit, no 10 character requirement, no 180 seconds between sending messages, no three image limit on posts, etc etc
